It is a bit ironic that that the Rams are the next team to do an RG3 type trade.

I honestly thought this type of trade was impossible. But I guess when you drop all the way to 15 it is.

maybe Tenn goes Conklin at 15 now?

I said 19, but 15 is interesting is kinda of an odd spot...idk how much separation there is between Stanely, Conklin, or Decker and Spriggs...I might go DEF at 15...

did they need to move to number 1 to get him though??

Maybe not,but the Titans have been actively looking to trade down, and the closer you get to draft day, the more you have to start worrying about other teams doing what they just did

Great haul for the Titans.

For the Rams, they have a lot more issues than just needing a franchise QB. I take it this trade was done with the new stadium in mind. Have a competent team by the time it opens. It's going to be hard when you still have so many holes while hardly having any draft picks.

A good QB with that RB and that defense....it's dangerous as is. It's not perfect, but it's dangerous.

I'd be happy with Conklin at 15.

The defense is interesting, IMO it's a team with 43 personnel forcing itself into a 34.

They do, but you could fill every hole on a roster and still be heading nowhere with Case Keenum at the helm

I'm liking the idea of a division rival giving up a lot to draft a player of a position that busts a high percentage of the time. It'll set them back for 3+ years if it doesn't work.

Having seen ATL do something similar for Julio...it's definitely going to hurt regardless even if he does work out...depth wise, you can't have a net loss of that many key draft picks and not feel it.

Not really dangerous.

They still have no O-line, WRs, or TE. The defense was only mediocre last season & will likely take a step back from that after losing their top CB & cutting veteran players. Other than the DL, there is nothing to write home about with the Rams defense.

Here's another aspect. It's still pretty early. Obviously the Rams have a particular player in mind and likely a QB. What if said player gets injured or arrested between now and the draft?

Agree, defense is overrated, and they IMO have the worst HC in the NFL, if not the most overrated

Very interesting. Considering Mariota is very good, getting all those picks are a great deal for the Titans. For the Rams it all comes down to how the 1st round pick turns out.

Okay conspiracy theorists. Is this an NFL deal to help LA out?

That's the first thing I thought of. Team moves back to LA, needs to generate buzz, what better way than with a #1 overall?

Maybe not a League office conspiracy, but definitely a good PR move by the team.

That defense, before all the offseason losses, was bottom third in 2015. Too much hype for being Seattle's kryptonite. Now for the next 2 years they will need to fill all those other holes through free agency & not the draft, while hoping Wentz pans out.

This reeks of desperation from the Rams front office & HC.

Spot on...with LeBeau there...that tells me they are committed to a 3-4...that's why I go Billings at 15 and come back to one of the OTs @ 33....they are not terrible at OLB with Morgan and Orapko...at 43, S, and 45 a young OLB like a Calhoun

My reason for passing on Conklin...the only guy in this draft that would unseat Lewan @ LT would be Tunsil...all the others are destined for RT....I don't see enough separation in that 2nd tier of OTs to leave a plug and play NT on the board.

It does, but at least its a desperation move for a QB.....Im just a believer that if you feel you have a real legit franchise QB that can be had, you have to stop at almost nothing

But again, I dont believe as strongly as they do in these QB's

We keep being told how good the Ram defense is...but is it really?

As Davis mentioned, they seem to show up in games against Seattle and Arizona, and that seemed to generate some overhype for that defense
