well, I've given this some long hard thought, Wamu. and here is my decision...

TRADE HIS BALD ASS...!

there. i'm sure you can appreciate the fact that gave it careful, mediated consideration...:D

Excuse me but yer boy LeBron would like it if people say he has a hair deficiency rather than bald. It just sounds better.

You think that is a bad trade for the Lakers? LMFAO

2 late 1st rounders don't move the needle, neither does McConnell. I think we've established that I'm not a big fan of your point forward already, right?

Can't see him getting traded, but not the craziest notion as to whether they should move him.

Last question? If his main goal was to win he should have stayed or gone to Philly. If main goal was to be in LA, thinking LAL or LAC was best options.

Yeah, not happening, but the Lakers are in a position where they kind of have to consider every option.

With Lonzo out for the rest of the season and having missed 30 games last season, teams aren't giving up much for him even though most seem to like his potential.

Ingram was starting to play like a #2 pick and was definitely increasing his trade value, but unless and until this blood clot is shown to be a one time thing, no one is trading for him either. I can't imagine anyone wants a potential Chris Bosh situation.

Kuzma could bring a decent return, but not at the level the Lakers need.

That leaves Lebron as far and away the player they could get the best return for.

There is no doubt that there were teams he could go to that would have been better situations from a pure basketball perspective. But Lebron, while still wanting to win, is also preparing for life after basketball.

LA was the only place he could do both in the same city.

As for choosing the Lakers over the Clippers...the Clippers are an afterthought in LA. Even with them being better for the past 6 or so years. The Lakers are all anyone talks about.

Even on the Clippers flagship station out here, all anyone wants to talk about is the Lakers.

He's not getting traded, but it's not a bad call. Say Sacramento offered Marvin Bagley, Harrison Barnes, WCS and 2 1sts. The Lakers add another young player in the draft, and can then trade for A.D. while retaining 3-4 young players

The Cavs have NOTHING of value to offer other than a draft pick.
psh, Sexton would easily be your best PG, Love would easily be your best scorer outside of LeBron, Thompson would easily be your best rebounder.

LeBron makes other players suck? Thanks for the great Tuesday morning laugh. That was a good one.

Sexton would not be the best pg, but he would be the best sg.

Love wouldn't be if Ingram was healthy, at least not since the all star break.

I would actually take TT in a heartbeat if he were on a cheaper deal.

I might be more inclined when thinking of Love to go by what he's done without restrictions. TT money at this point not crazy but even if you think t is he has an expiring deal next year.

Of the 2, I'd probably take TT over Love. I like TT's defense, rebounding and the fact that he can a few points without any plays called for him. Plus, he knows how to play with Lebron.

I've always liked Love and he also knows how to play with Lebron.
No doubt that the Lakers could have used his 3 point shooting, but he's just hurt too much for me.

So, this concludes the 6th consecutive year of Lakers tanking?
Asking for a friend....
