I mean the pro is obvious. Suh + Donald + Brockers + Easley is going to be insane. I would not want to be the center starting against these guys. The downside is long term in terms of rollover cap + locker room implications. Donald has been ejected before in his career... seems like Suh/Donald might be an attitude problem when combined and cause some penalties, etc.
B+ signing. $14M is a ton for a player and it's an all in move for a person with character concerns on a very young team. If the Rams don't immediately start off the season with wins Suh may throw tantrums. That said, this creates quite possibly the best DT lineup in NFL history... and with the CB moves puts the Rams as a favorite along with the Eagles to represent in an SBOWL.
Goff and Gurley will need to stay healthy though...
As a Seahawks fan, IMO just bench Russell Wilson when the Hawks play the Rams at this point. Grab every QB off the practice squad possible to avoid the forfeit of the game since 4-5 QBs will inevitably get killed in the process.
Also, what's the record for personal fouls/ejections in a season for a defense? With Peters, Talib, Suh, Donald, the Rams gotta be as much of a favorite to win that 'award' along with representing the NFC in the Super Bowl.
Good luck McVay
If this Rams ship starts sinking, it's gonna sink FAST, lol. I think Gurley is really the key to all this. If he goes down or has a bad season, this will go downhill... not sold on Jared Goof *ahem* Goff yet.
It's actually a good move for both. Suh won't be needed as much as on other teams so as long as he contributes to an already great Dline everyone will be happy
