I keep thinking about opposing QBs eyes when Suh is at NT and Donald is next to him. Wonder what's gonna go through their head

5 step drop and throw over your LB's or run screens and draws.

The Falcons did pretty good against the Rams in the playoffs. Eagles DC...Vikes DC...Matt Patricia before becoming a HC...few guys.
So in your opinion the Eagles and Vikes DC are better than Wade Phillips?

LOL, it doesn't make me mad. You were the one that said "Wade Phillips is/was overrated".

The media over hypes him for being a .500 coach with one SB on 10 different teams. Having Suh will help, but having Wade hasn't always equated to automatically winning.

Good point having any good DC hasn't and won't always equate to automatically winning. By the way Wade Phillips hasn't always been a head coach and by being a very good DC doesn't mean you team will win or go to a SB every year.

Wade Phillips is a great defensive coach. In his 19 seasons as either a head coach or defensive coordinator, his teams have finished in the top 10 in defense 10 times. They finished in the top five 10 times, the top three six times and led the NFL twice, once in San Diego and once in Denver. That Broncos defense in 2015 also rewarded Phillips with a Super Bowl ring.

I understand that, but you asked me who I thought was better right now. He's up there. But not the best. Maybe with all these new guys you will be the best this year.

Looks like we have another Dream Team scenario. Remember that year when the Eagles won the offseason and everyone was crowning them SB champions while we were still in March. Congratulations Rams fans, I look forward to your SB win in say 7 years.

This was EXACTLY what I thought. Too much talent with that much ego can be a very bad thing. But today's football fans believe in paper championships until it does not happen.

Now we can see why the NFC North was skipped in the rotation if this actually pays off.

It easy to do things when a) your returnman keeps giving the ball away and b) the defense can't stop the run. We upgraded the run defense by jettisoning Ogletree who tries to make a play but still doesn't how to wrap and putting in one of the best run stopping DTs in the league. No team this year will have more qb pressures or tackles for losses this coming season.

I just don't see the studs on the edge or the second level yet...Interior DL and backend are covered.

Samson Ebukan.. we drafted him from his pro day while watching Cooper Kupp obviously. Did a good job as a rookie and got a few start when Barwin went down for a few weeks.

I found some pro day Samson Ebukan numbers vs Von Miller combine. Granted pro days are more forgiving than combine. Not saying the combine is the almighty judge of a player or that SE is going to be even close to Von.. but they are an exact mold as far as size and speed, etc. instincts?? Aggressiveness?? IQ? Those are the X factors that the combine cannot tell us

SE pro day:

vertical jump of 39 inches
broad jump of 10'10"
40 time of 4.45 were eye-opening
He bench-pressed 225 pounds 24 times.
7.02 seconds in the 3-cone drill.

Von Miller combine:

40 time -- 4.42 seconds
Bench Press: 21 reps (225 lb)
Vertical Leap: 37.0 inches
Broad Jump: 126 inches
20 Yd Shuttle: 4.06 seconds
Three Cone: 6.70 seconds
60 Yd Shuttle: 11.15 seconds

Miller is a rare bird....but at least I know where you expect to see some edge pressure.

Fair enough, but you said in your comment #126, "Just pointing out how he's overrated". You said Wade "is overrated", not me?

Yeah he is a beast. Obviously I don't expect this guy to be Von but if he can just do his job that's good enough for me. Obviously Wade fell in love with this dude for the same reasons I said in the previous post

Rams breakdown

vs. NFC North-3-1(lose at Detroit)
vs. AFC West-3-1(lose either to LAC or at Oakland)
first place 1-1(beat Philadelphia but lose at NO)

Division is tricky. They won't sweep SF, but could sweep the other two. Though that's gonna be hard to do. They haven't had any stalling records so I say 5-1 or 3-3, splitting with both in the latter case. So LAR either goes 12-4 or 10-6.
