If Parros >> Harvard Oiler wouldn't he have had to suspend Tkachuk for at least 411 games? Not sure your math checks out here dash. Where did you go to school again?

A crappy Canadian university not named McGill nor University of Toronto.

After going pointless in his first 15 games, Sam Bennett has 10 points in his last 14 games, including 7 in his last 6 games.

Good to see that for sure. Wonder how the Las Vegas expansion fees factored into that?

Actually, I don't think that they do, expansion dollars go straight into the owners pockets and are not considered HRR (hockey related revenue) if memory serves.

I am sort of surprised by this move. Subban seemed like a good D prospect and one of the top for the Canucks. Dowd on the other hand seems to be just roster filler no more than what Megna can do?

they never really gave him a shot which is a head scratcher (Anton Rodin-esque ... 4 points in 3 swiss leagues games for him btw)... that being said Stecher is a wee man and i guess theres only room for 1 right shooting wee man on the team lol

overall he was passed by many on the defensive depth chart ... Pouliot has seemed to have found his way

Bettman: Dundon won't move Hurricanes - Article - TSN

"I want to address one matter about as crystal clear and as absolute terms as I can: Tom Dundon is buying his interest in the Hurricanes to have the Hurricanes in Carolina," Bettman said, per NHL.com. "This is not a team that is being moved. The rumors that it might be moving somewhere else are absolutely incorrect, made up, fabrications, wrong, wrong, wrong."

From 2013-14 to 2016-17, Carolina attracted 850,000 fewer spectators than the NHL median in that time. At the NHL’s average ticket price of $150, that’s approximately $127 million in revenue that the Hurricanes have missed out on, and that’s just attendance. At over $30 mil/yr, that’s literally an expansion fee share every season that the ownership of the Carolina Hurricanes misses out on by playing in a shitty market.

I think the new owner will take a couple seasons in the hopes that a winning team will turn things around, and I happen to think they’d attract around 17,000 if they were indeed a winning club, but, well, they said that in Arizona too and they still don’t have a winning team. The losing may have taken too much of a toll by now.

Good to hear Pouliot is finding his way. Wonder if Subban will have success in the NHL elsewhere. Honestly they are the same in that aspect never getting the proper chance with their first clubs.

yah the way i see it ... pens profited from Coilers ridding themselves of Justin Schultz ... Canucks may profit from Pens getting rid of Pouliot ... kings may profit from Canucks getting rid of Subban ... and no profit for Coilers :thumb:

Replacing Dorsett attributes I guess.
And as jstew mentioned, subban seemed to have been passed over by Pouliot, uollevi, and maybe even Chatfield

If @forty_three and @esls79 can keep trashing Tom Wilson it would be most appreciated. The guy’s got 3 G, 4 A, 10 hits, 9 shots, 11 PIMs, and is a +6 in his last three games. Probably a chance at a star of the week for the first time in his career.
