Martin basically said last night that he didn't really know what happened until he saw the video post-game. Doesn't excuse what Tkachuk did though and I expect he'll get 2 games (since he obviously didn't learn much from his one game suspension about 3 weeks ago).

He's still an embarassment to the number and me, Richard Petty and Dennis Eckersly have all been bombarded by emails from his asking for admission to the club.

I must say he has better hair than either of those guys. Not that I'm an expert on hair by any means.

I'd honestly be fine with 5. If you come on the ice and do nothing you get an automatic 10, but if you use your stick on a guy while keeping your feet on the rubber (and have a history) it's only 2? It's probably what will happen but it seems awfully inconsistent.

I've seen calls for 5 games as well and if it is 5, you would hopefully think it's sends a strong message to stop these antics once and for all.

I'd rather see Tom Wilson suspended than Matthew Tkachuk. I say this is 3 games. 1 for the spearish type play, 1 for his repeat status and 1 for general douchbaggeryedness. And if he keep this up, the Wideman effect will become the Tkachuk effect in not too long.

I watched that replay several times and I think Andy saw Tkachuk coming out of the corner of his eye and made sure to swing his goalie stick around to whack young Matthew. Those Danes are sneaky

Yeah, I mean the 10 game thing seems to be saying "the bench is the bench and the ice is the ice". If that's gonna be the standard it should probably apply to sticks as well.

Well yeah, I guess I'm just trying to say that Martin isn't the one using the argument to justify his lineup presence so I probably shouldn't give him shit for that particular aspect of it.

I've been relatively subdued so far but if Nylander is still on that line Saturday after last night (a good game from him and another meh game from the Matthews line) I'm going to be seriously pissed off.
