If you guys are looking for a place to sound off for the 2023-24 college basketball season, here you go! From the early tournaments to the headline-worthy upsets, you'll see them here.

Now usually, a college basketball season comprises of 3 parts:
Part 1 (The early part of the season, where you see what each team has to work with.)
Part 2 (January through Mid-February, where everyone is in conference play and they're figuring out how good they're really are.)
Part 3 (Late February through April, where it's "put up or shut up" time.)

This thread is for Part 1 of the season, so stay tuned...

Top 25:
Samford @ Purdue (6:30)
North Carolina Central @ Kansas (8:00)
New Mexico State @ Kentucky (8:00) [First game for the Aggies since the "hazing scandal" that got their 22-23 season cancelled]

And one more thing: All of the times I list on this thread will be in the Eastern time zone.

Relax. I didn't forget about Michigan State's game against James Madison; I just don't think it'll be a competitive game tonight.

11/6 recap
So in that Hall of Fame series, we got Oregon beating Georgia 82-71 and USC beating Kansas State 82-69. Did anybody else get a big win (or score 82 points in their win)? Let's see:

Top 25:
Kansas over North Carolina Central 99-56
Marquette over Northern Illinois 92-70
Kentucky over New Mexico State 86-46
Illinois over Eastern Illinois 80-52

Other big games:
Clark Atlanta over Mercer 71-64 (Clark Atlanta is a Division II school, in case you're wondering.)
Siena over Holy Cross 73-71
Princeton over Rutgers 68-61 (First that run in the NCAA tournament, and now this. Princeton basketball is on fire!)
Louisville over UMBC 94-93
North Dakota State over Western Michigan 90-86 in OT (First OT game of the season)
Ohio State over Oakland 79-73
Fordham over Wagner 68-64 in OT
Mobile over South Alabama 83-74 (Mobile is an NAIA school!)
UT-Arlington over Oral Roberts 75-71
Bradley over UAB 73-71 in OT
Abilene Christian over Oklahoma State 64-59 (The first "Whoopsie" loss of the season!)

And finally, some guy named @H2S has been yelling at me over my lack of coverage of his Michigan State Spartans. Okay, H2S...
James Madison 79-76 Michigan State (Nov 6, 2023) Final Score - ESPN ...here's the Michigan State coverage you've been craving!

And by the way, a "Whoopsie" loss is when a NCAA hopeful suffers a bad loss that MAY hurt their chances to make the tournament in March. Will we get more of those during the next 2 days? Let's see:

Today:
Drexel @ La Salle (6:30)
Stony Brook @ St John's (7:00) (The ballyhooed debut of Rick Pitino at St. John's.)
North Dakota @ Iowa (8:00)
Florida A&M @ Creighton (9:00)
Game of the Day: Auburn vs. Baylor [from Sioux Falls, SD] (9:00)

Tomorrow:
Game of the Day: Florida Atlantic @ Loyola-Chicago [at the Wintrust Arena] (7:00)

Troy @ Ohio (7:00)
Arizona State vs. Mississippi State (Around 9:30)

Wait a minute... Isn't the Arizona State vs. Mississippi State game also in Chicago in the Wintrust Arena? And it's NOT a early-season event or tournament? Now I'm confused.

Temple over Drexel 66-64
Syracuse over Colgate 79-75 (...Well, at least the Orange were able to make the comeback THIS time)
