First off, let me say this isn't anything even remotely close to being realistic.

Second, let me say that I don't think it will happen.

Third? It certainly is interesting from a somewhat ground swelling "rumor" being talked about.

Don't hate the messenger. Just a weird, and what I thought to be a very interesting "rumor".

IF (and I mean a huge IF) this possibly could happen, what would be your thoughts?

NOTE: Once again, I do not think this will happen, but have only heard some weird talk and rumors of this ridiculous possibility.

Simply throwing it out there to see what initial responses and thoughts would be out there regarding this very unlikely scenario. A pure hypothetical.

Wouldn't be interested in that happening and would vehemently voice my disapproval should the school consider it.

With Nebraska already in the Big 10 and the animosity between Texas and Nebraska I would say a snowball has a better chance of survival in hell.

That talk is long gone. No need to bring it up. I wouldn't want either school to join at all. LHN is great and the Sooner Network will be up and running in 2015. Geographically, it's a stupid idea. HOWEVER, how funny would it be if NU's daddy joined the B1G? NU fans would be miserable.....

Geographically?

Didn't the Big 12 just bring in West Virginia? I'm no cartography or travel expert, but isn't Morgantown, WV futher away from Austin, TX than Key West, FL? Not too mention, what kind of flights can you get to Morgantown without at least 1 connection or at least a 2 or 3 hour drive after you land?

The reality is that Texas fans could get to every single current and next stage existing Big 10 team easier and earlier than Morgantown, WV for a game. And you don't have to go to Lubbock for a game for the rest of...well, ever.

Wont happen for same reason it wasn't going to happen in PAC. Texas won't give up the LonghornNetwork deal.

If it did Could the conference survive maybe add Boise State and BYU and still be considered for an autobid to the playoff?
or would the left overs try for other conferences? This would move Big Ten to 16. would the others follow?
Texas Tech and Ok State Kansas and Kansas State to Pac 12?
Iowa State, West Virginia, to the ACC
Baylor and Texas Tech to SEC?

I'd like to see Texas and OU both join tSEC.

Both are geographic fits and if Okla St demanded to be included, we could just auction off Missouri to the highest bidder to make the numbers work. no?

Thanks.

You sound like an expert on crack. Can you please tell me what I should know about a resource being on crack?

I'm not talking about WVU, I'm talking about Texas and yes, geographically, it doesn't make sense. Plus, I don't mind going to Lubbock for a game. If Texas were to go to another conference, it should be the SEC. Kids won't want to play for Texas if they joined the B1G; Aggy would rule recruiting forever if Texas joined the B1G. SEC would be the right move. And like a previous poster said, where would Nebraska run to next?
