ESPN:
Blake Bell is completing 25.8 percent of his passes thrown 15 yards or longer this season, second lowest by a Big 12 quarterback (minimum 25 attempts). Bell has one completion in his last 12 such passes dating back to Week 6 against TCU. Bell has a 62.4 third-down Total QBR this season, which is slightly lower than the Big 12 average of 62.7. One reason why Bell is not higher was he posted a 0.1 third-down Total QBR against Texas. In that game, he had more interceptions (2) than completions (1) on eight third-down attempts.

current up-to-date-stats per ESPN

Baylor has scored 22 touchdowns in drives lasting one minute or less, eight more than any other FBS team this season. In the last 10 seasons, there have only been six teams that have scored more than 22 touchdowns in one minute or less in an entire season.

Baylor is averaging more points in the first half (42.1) than 115 FBS teams average for a game. In the first half, the Bears average a FBS-low 15.9 seconds per play and their average touchdown drive lasts 1 minute, 19 seconds.

Baylor running back Lache Seastrunk is averaging 9.1 yards per rush, #1 in the FBS for a RB

Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty is averaging 13.9 yards per pass attempt, on pace to be the highest rate for a qualified quarterback in the last 10 seasons. The deep ball has been key for Petty. He has 19 completions and 10 touchdowns (both the most of anyone in an automatic-qualifier conference) on passes thrown 25 yards or longer.

Baylor gone r*pe OU…Oklahoma cannot score with this team and their defense damn sure isn't good enough to keep Baylor under 30 which is what I think it would take to beat them. That's not saying Oklahoma doesn't have a good defense, I just think you are talking elite defense to hold Baylor under 30 this season. Hell, I don't know if there is a defense in the country this year for that matter. Not the best season for defense. Michigan St or Virginia Tech maybe? Bama since the A&M game?

Kansas St played the perfect game with one of the best game plans Snyder has put together and still couldn't hold Baylor under 30. I just don't see it happening. I also can't see Oklahoma using Kansas State's plan of run it every single time with a super athletic QB and run the clock down every single snap just to keep Baylor off the field. That's about the only way they aren't going to score 40+.

I got another stat for you:

Baylor best competition this year is Kansas St 4-4. They only won 35-25.

ESPN:

Blake Bell on play action. The Sooners quarterback is more efficient on play-action plays. He’s 30 of 43 attempts (69.77 percent) for 410 yards, four touchdowns and one interception.

prediction by Jake Trotter, formerly the Oklahoman’s OU football beat writer and now a writer for ESPN.com's SoonerNation, covering Oklahoma football. He lives in Edmond, Oklahoma.

"Baylor 52, Oklahoma 34: the Bears make a statement they belong in the national title picture."

So what if they face an athletic QB with a better RB and better offense than Kansas St (not saying much). And a defense that is better than KSU's (not saying much) and they play just a good game. They lose.

This game proves everything to me. I don't think oklahoma is that strong of a team, but if they kill them or their defense plays well it really sends a statement, all games in past mean nothing to me. Impressive, but doesn't tell me anything.

OU co-offensive coordinator Jay Norvell:

“This team has become a blue collar team. We kind of felt that way in the spring, and we’ve got a fighter’s mentality. We’re going to pound on you for four quarters and then try to win it in the fourth. That’s the way we’ve got to be, and that’s okay. It doesn’t matter how pretty it is. If we end up on the right side of the ledger that’s really all that matters.”

Max Olson of ESPN:

(of one the main keys for OU to beat Baylor is for OU to take it to the 4th quarter). Petty has attempted four passes in fourth quarters this season. Seastrunk has two rushing attempts. The average score of a Baylor game after three quarters is 55-10. These guys have not been tested. The Sooners have to prey on that and try to wear out the Bears if they get the opportunity. Maybe those run lanes start opening up more late. Maybe Petty, after 30 throws, starts losing some accuracy. OU needs an advantage in this department. But, really, the simple truth about beating Baylor is this: The Bears won’t lose unless they show up flat, make mistakes and start beating themselves. Oklahoma is going to need an excellent game plan and, probably, a lot of help.

OU has been outscored 45-33 in eight first quarters yet somehow has won seven of eight games. Their offense is averaging 4.1 points in the first quarter. If they start that way against Baylor, they risk being run out of the stadium.

Bob Stoops:

"Everyone is excited about the opportunity to go down there and play an excellent football team, a team that's been great, obviously, in every category —offensively in big plays and the way they run the football, throw it, scoring points," OU coach Bob Stoops said. "Defense probably isn't talked about near enough for them. They are in the top few in the league in about every defensive category and even nationally."

OU co-offensive coordinator Josh Heupel:

"You have to stay within the game early, in the first quarter and second quarter, of what you are trying to do to them," OU co-offensive coordinator Josh Heupel said. "I think it's important that we start fast."

On defense, Baylor leads the nation in three-and-outs forced at 7.1 per game.

On offense, Baylor has just nine three-and-outs in 107 drives this year
