Jansen looked really rusty, glad he got to warm up with a large lead. Dbacks shot themselves in the foot when they were forced to use both Greinke and Ray in the WC.

Still jet lagged a bit so I missed some of the middle innings when the Dbacks were rallying. Gonna have to go back and check it out latter.

Peace out!

there was no reason to bring Kershaw out for the 7th IMO. you need to keep him fresh, especially with his back issues. They had a 5-run lead anyway.

appreciate the optimism, but they look toasty.
Yeah, I know...

Houston has been a bad match up the last couple of weeks, but it's back to Boston for the next two.

If they take it one at bat at a time, one game at a time, they can push a game 5 IMO. They have the bats, they just need to get them going, and there is no place like home!

Really would like to see a Sox/Dodgers WS!!

I actually forgot to post this, but I was going to ask whether or not Kershaw should be pulled after the 6th if his pitch count is closer to 100. I agree with you, but at the same time, this is just who the guy is.

In the past, there was an excuse. The bullpen was not reliable until this year. Brandon Morrow did very well last night, and he should be available today as well since he got 4 outs on only 7 pitches.

Maybe 'Shaw can turn around his historical post season troubles this year and really have some dominating games, but this was not an indication that it's going to happen soon : 4 HR. 3BB. 5+ ERA.

Other high performing players have struggled in the post season and eventually figured it out.

meh, he got the win and pretty much made four bad pitches.

He is now just a couple of games shy of .500 in post season play, considering all of his troubles in the post season that's a turn around in itself.

Kersh is now 3-1 in his last 5 starts.

That's almost an exact quote from one of his teammates. :)

I would look at it more like a bullet dodged, seeing as how unusual it is for a P gives up 4 HR and get the win.

I doubt Az can muster enough pitching to pull thus series out.

Haha maybe RJ can give their staff a pep talk, or something.

Didn't hear whoever said it.

To my point, I don't think he pitches the same without the lead he had. There's a reason he was able to give up 4 HR's and get the win. He wasn't letting anybody on base, so those 4 HR's only accounted for 4 runs. Go look it up, and I bet dollars to donuts all them other pitchers who gave up 4 home runs and lost, didn't just give up 4 runs.

So phlap, I see you're sporting the UCLA logo, do you follow just the CBB, or CFB too?

Don't recall ever seeing you on the college boards.

Also noticed your Sko logo.

My brother in law, out of Dallas is a big Vikes fan, and he goes to a home game in Minny every year with his Vike buds. He told me this year it could just be the Rams game, if so I'll be there.

Really want to see that stadium.

Have you been there since they opened the new stadium?

And I think that's Wrigley not Dodger Stadium.

Mostly the basketball team. I used to work very close to Jackie R stadium so I would occasionally catch a game there too. I've been to 2 football games: a pro bowl WAY back when and a Bruin game about 4 yrs ago that was thoroughly enjoyable.

As far as the Vikes go, I lived in White Bear Lake 'til I was 6 so I've been a lifelong fan. I died a few deaths in their SB losses :(. My enthusiasm waned some after the 1999 playoff loss, and has fallen further after seeing how the nfl handled cte. The Frontline episode about it is highly recommended.

I haven't been back in almost 20 years, but now that I'm retired a motorcycle trip might happen.
