Knee definitely not down as he crosses goal line. There are 2 times he MAY be down. His knee around the 1/2 yard line and then again his thigh right as he approaches/crosses the goal line. Tough to say. I think the thigh was too close to call and can't over turn for that. I think the knee was down at the 1/2. This is what would be a perfect angle, but then disappears behind a guys helmet. Not likely his knee falls towards the ground and then without hitting catapults back up off the ground so good chance he was down. But is it enough to overturn? I wonder what angle the review officials had.

Converted from a fan video not the best quality. But it looks like he bounces off the turf and into the end zone. When you break down the frames looks like the leg is flat from this angle.Compared to the other still frames from the other angles .It looks like his knee was down before he crossed imo.

Is there a "pausible" version of this? I got a headache looking at it over and over like this. That would give a nice look. I agree that the most likely scenario is his knee hitting and bouncing back up.

Heres two stills when you crop them and blow them up.They are a bit fuzzy. But the leg is down in quite a few frames.I think the call was correct

One of the worst refereed games I have ever been to. Tate was down, but that was the only call the officials got right the entire game.

Still sucked walking out of Ford Field this afternoon.

Dude, you just lost to the Bears. Without their starting QB. You should be keeping a low profile before you get laughed off the site.

But, we, umm, but..... Aw fuck. :frusty:

Lions completely screwed on bogus call to reverse a TD. Fix was in and probably will be all year to get the Falcons back to the SB after last years epic collapse the league feels they need to have another chance.

NFL is a disgrace. I think a boycott is in order. Pathetic.

Pretty strong statement. Some evidence of this is in order.

Just because you lost a game that you thing your team should have won, does not mean that any games are fixed.

Bottom line...NFL blows. These constant stoppages are ridiculous.

There is none. The notion that the NFL would purposely fix it's own games is absurd. They have too much to lose if they were ever found out. No, the only way I could see NFL games being fixed is if maybe some rich, powerful guy who didn't like the way the league handled it's business wanted to disrupt the league by paying some refs crazy amounts of money. But, I mean that is so far-fetched. I couldn't even imagine that a guy like that even exists.....

The first three posters including the OP should be embarrassed with "the NFL deliberately screws the Lions" narrative. The over the top crying and complaining is just ridiculous.

Kind of funny though.

Technically, when they said his thigh hit the first time (which is the only time it hit before the ball crossed the line), there was still 11 seconds left.

If you are going to say he is down by contact, then you need to refer the time to that point as well. There should have been 1 second left after the 10 second runoff.

I don't think games are rigged, just severely poorly officiated.

It happened to the Packers last week with the pick plays called against the Packers but not against the Falcons which gave the falcons a TD and took a TD and a drive at the 30 YD line first and ten which was a potential TD all off the board. If the refs are going to call pick interference then they need to call it against both teams.

Don't think he posted that to show the ball crossing the line... He was showing it to say knee and arm were off the ground....
His knee had already hit the ground before that still. It hits about 6 inches further back and then comes back off the ground when he surges. He was down. Only real question is if the Lions could have got lined up, got a play called and snapped the ball in 7 seconds
