Well this is one of the biggest games for ND every year. I hate Mich and we need to beat them. GameDay will be in Ann Arbor and its a night game. Its going to be a crazy game. I cant wait for saturday. ND looked ok this week. I thought the offense played alot better then I thought but on the negative side D didnt look great and was very disappointed in the Dline. I do think we didnt show any cards so this week will show what team we are this week.

I got ND winning this game in a close game. 17-13 ND wins it. Down goes Michigan.

Gonna be a fun night and close game. 23-17 Michigan

ND is a good team, but over rated.

overrated how? We went to the NC game and they put us 14th. Most times teams that were in the NC game ends up at least in the top 10 for preseason.

How is a team overrated when as Purguy said they make it to the national game, return most of their top players and is ranked 14th?

In all the ND/Michigan games I have seen over the years, there has only been one player who scared me. That was Denard Robinson. I know people will say that Gardiner is a better fit for Hoke's offense, but I don't care. I feel much better about this game with Robinson gone.

Completely agree.

It felt like he could score on any snap.

And most teams that play in the National Championship game blowout opponents like Temple! LOL

I love my Irish, but Purguy ... please get a clue. It doesn't matter what a team did the year before ... it's what they put on the field the following year that counts. And ... the team I saw last Sat against Temple was pretty woeful ... even though it was a blowout 28-6 ... LOL. Are you gettin it yet?

If the team that showed up in SB last Sat (for opening day at home) goes up to Ann Arbor and tries to play the way they did ... it's going to be an ugly night for my Irish, I'm afraid.

GOOOO IRISH!!!!!

What are you talking about, we were returning a lot of talent from the team from last year. I also think ND did fine sat. U do understand Kelly didn't want to show anything and you do understand back ups were in the game in the 4th Q. U do know we put up over 500 yards of offense. For a 1st game I thought that was a good game.

The big bad Bama team only put up 195 yards of offense. Not so good. Nothing great about that.

Sidenote: It does matter what you did the following year. What you think they go by. LOL

22 pt win is a blowout, especially when you take the foot of the gas in the 3rd.

Blowout huh? Did they cover the spread? Nope. 59 pts is more like a blowout ... Michigan vs CMU. ND should have gotten that many points after watching those first 2 drives ... but nothing much after that.

If you wanna say BK took the rest of the game off ... ok ... you go on believing that. I guess there's the reason ND is ranked #14 ... but hey ... who cares, right? Lets just go out there and play everyone to see what we really have, and see how high we climb in the rankings while BK is trying to figure it all out. This is college freakin football ... not the NFL ... wins dont just cut the mustard. You're expected (as a team that played in the Natl Champioship game the year prior) to bury a team like Temple ... not just win by 22 points and dont cover the 25 pt spread.

Purguy continues to take the words right out of my mouth.

Nicely said.

Yeah, because I'm sure Kelly is interested in covering the spread.

Instead of brushing up on the game plan, I bet he's checking the Vegas wagers.

We missed two chip shot field goals, and let the game end with the ball on the 4 yard line. I think we could have made it look a lot worse if we wanted to.

I don't think anyone is impressed.

But we're just happy with the win, that's all.

22 points is a blowout against a half decent/good team. Against a crappy team like Temple a 22 point win is more like a 10 point win against a decent team

screw the spread. Kelly did the same thing last year and guess what we went to the NC game.

The world isnt ending. OMG we only beat a team by 22 points. Most people would say blow out.

I will be honest it would of been nice to score a TD on that last drive but again the back ups were in.

You just need to chill out and see what happens next year. As of right now we have no clue what type of team we have.

If someone told you that we were dumbing down the offense in that game in an effort to show nothing to Michigan, would it make you feel better? And if they were doing that, would you want them to come out and say it? Let's wait until we see how we play against Michigan before we decide whether we are satisfied with how the team is playing. I don't think how we looked against Temple (good or bad) will matter one bit after the Michigan game, just like how Michigan looked against western mich will not matter.
