I forget who the corner was that went a couple of picks later, but it seemed EVERYONE had that guy higher on the board than Apple...When I heard Jon Gruden say "this guy is an illegal contact waiting to happen", thats not something I wanted to hear.....He apparently was a very physical corner at OSU, and got away with a style of play that wont translate in the NFL...

Hargreaves from FL went 11...he was supposed to be the best pure cover corner, but I'm not the CFB guru really.

I want taller CBs if they can play, and were seeing more and more coming out now...on the physicality...keep within 5 yds...lol

Yes, Hargraves is the guy, not the MSU corner.....Not that these "Experts" always get it right, but Hargraves was definitely universally projected higher than Apple

I think the general thought was that Hargreaves didn't give 100% last year on his film. Pff dinged Vernon up a bit though Apple has major issues in the run game. I was really low on Apple but Thomspon was a great value in rd3. Him and Janoris are both ballhawks so you could see a lot of interceptions but also a lot of blown coverages. I'd be shocked if Apple stepped in day1 and made a major impact, though.
