Maybe Oakland has finally cooled off a bit. It's 0-0 top of the 6th against the Tigers :thumb:

Sadly enough that's what we're probably going to need w/ the way the M's have been playing... Still not over but they need to figure out some offense quick before it's too late...

Outscored 5-14 the past two games by the Jays at home is embarrassing...

Since I pretty much tapped out yesterday. I can just look at the boxscore and react.

Nicasio DL'd with bad knee...lol. It is what is between his ears that is bad.
Lol. Either an excuse or they didn’t properly handle the first time he was DLd. Either way they look bad. Or just chalk it up to Mariners doing Mariner things

Oakland a game and half above the M's now....they are now the ones trying to close in on the Stros as we struggle to get a W with a sub par team. Go Mariners?????

Dang... They've gone 8-16 over that span...

Servais said:
Servais said reliever Juan Nicasio was unavailable Friday because of right knee soreness that the right-hander experienced in May. Nicasio was slated to get the knee checked out by a team doctor.

So Servais has been working him like a workhouse the past 2 months knowing he's had soreness in his knee? Explains his 9.75 era over that span... That is 100% on Servais...

“It was the same old tune offensively,” said Mariners manager Scott Servais. “I know it will turn, guys know it will turn but right now it is very frustrating,”

Hope he's going to be right one of these days... He's been singing this tune since the first week of July... As they say, "actions speak louder than words"...

Teams not out... Sometimes it's easier to come back from behind in the standings... Less pressure...

Looks like the Mariners held a players only meeting last night... "we need to get back to playing to prove people wrong" ~ Marco Gonzales... Hopefully they do soon...

Meanwhile, the Mariners bats are so cold right now scientists are applying for grants to study them...

Bad news everyone, I'm back from Kosovo.

Haven't been able to watch a Mariners game in about two months, but I'll happily return to giving my feedback on the games.

Hope everyone has been doing well.

Was wondering what the hell happened to you....if you posted you were going overseas, I must have missed it.....just like I've missed the M's doing what they're suppose to be doing...winning. Maybe you can help them out?? Welcome back to the proverbial hell hole. :D :suds:

From the M's website:
(Looks like Dee is taking a leadership role-and good for him. He's definitely a motivator for this squad IMO :thumb:

The latest setback led to a players-only postgame meeting and a reminder that there are still 52 games to determine this club's fate.

"We've still got two more months of baseball," said second baseman
Dee Gordon. "There are peaks and valleys. This game is hard for everybody. We just have to relax. We're getting away from our identity a little bit. Once we get our swagger back and everybody brings their shoulders down a little bit, I think we'll be all right."

The talk was simple, according to starting pitcher
Marco Gonzales.

It's kind of ironic that Seager has finally started to show some serious offense as the team struggles on. It only took 2/3 the way through the season this year...that's if it continues which the team could definately use.

I love players only meetings. To me they are worthless as hell, but these million dollar babies seem to think that is what is needed during team slump. Try more hustle and better concentration which will lead to less mental errors which is plaguing this team.

I will go back to something I posted last year after hearing a top ex-player say something about the trade deadline. I forget who it was, but he says the acquisitions are more for mental help than on-field help. He said that when an ownership/management goes and pulls in a big named player it shows their commitment and belief in the team and lifts the psyche. When they do little or marginal acquisitions, that sends the team a different message. I think the message has been sent. I know it has been sent to the fans for decades.

Eovaldi in his second start for Red Sox (a guy M's should have traded for) throws 7 more shutouts innings so far. Ug!

Was he even available?
Probably many starters the M's SHOULD have traded for
