At least we have Trumbo and his .149 BA...

In fact, we have 4 players in the lineup tonight with a BA of .167 or lower... :L

That's amazing, I mean already know but when it's written out its completely insane...

9 runs allowed in last 7 appearances. Not sure, but I don't think that is good. I think that is around a 12.14 ERA.

I don't think we should give up our arms for a hitter... Pitching is the only reason we're in games... On paper, yes it makes perfect sense to trade for a bat but realistically, hitters odds of succeeding when traded here are very slim... It's been proven over and over... Seems like we would not get the better part of the deal to me... I'd love Kevin Millar... He was in mind when i mentioned yesterday that Toronto would be a great trade partner w/ us since they're in desperate need of some SP...

Sexson, Beltre, Trumbo, Figgins, Everett... Seems like the list is much larger for not succeeding than succeeding...

What do we do w/ Trumbo? We can't keep putting him out there with his .139 batting average... He has no confidence... Is he eligible to be sent down to Tacoma for a bit?

Beltre hit .266 with 103 HR's, 396 RBI's in 5 years
Sexson hit .244 with 105 HR's, 321 RBI's in 4 years.

Always bothers me when people say they didn't hit with Seattle. Plus they improved 15 wins in their 2nd year here and 25 win improvement in their 3rd year here. I will never knock either one as a Mariner. I don't care what they hit before or after being a Mariner.

What were their averages prior to Seattle? We signed them for their prior year production before signing with us... Relative to expectations, those two were a bust...

Sexson hovered around the Mendoza line his last two seasons and struck out at an alarming rate... Over those 4 seasons outside two of them, he was a bust for what we paid him...

We had signed Beltre after coming off a 48 HR season while batting .334... He didn't even come remotely close to that in Seattle...

Hate to join the pessimistic crowd, but Felix will probably throw 8 scoreless tomorrow and get a no decision in a loss

You can't get pissed at lousy M's hitting then use our former players stats from their other teams as comparison. That is bullshit and frankly I am tired of explaining it. If you want to do that, then Felix is just a #3 starter his whole career with Safeco making him look like a Cy Young pitcher. 25 Fucking wins they improved a shitty fucking team yet they were fucking garbage. Okay you win. The just don't sign another fucking hitter again because the same thing is going to happen. Done!

I'd prefer to groom our own instead of trading our starting pitching for someone who may do ok in our ballpark... I feel Seager will be one of those solid players for us at the plate...

... and I don't understand your Felix example because we weren't even discussing him...

I'm not trying to win anything... Yeah, they improved in one season but overall, they were a bust when you stretch it out those 4 to 5 seasons...

Well, we can't groom our own, so that just isn't feasible. I mean, who was the last hitter that the M's actually brought up through their system? Seager? Well, can't be, his numbers aren't any better than Beltre's were when Beltre was here.
