McClendon said Brad Miller is still the starting SS and will see the majority of the playing time. Taylor will get starts vs tough LHPs

Miller also will not be bouncing back to other positions. Taylor will handle second base or third base if needed

Mariners also considered bringing up utility player Shawn O'Malley instead. But he injured his wrist a few days ago.

The move was more about Bloomquist not being able to play SS anymore and not having a backup option for Miller.

McClendon has discussed Iwakuma's status with Zduriencik, but not ready to make any decisions until tmmrow. Likely want to see Elias tonite.

? That was the worst pitch i've seen someone swing at this year... The ball was so far outside, Trumbo couldn't even reach it w/ an extended bat if he tried... What on earth? That was ugly...

Best thing for him would be a trip to Tacoma to get his head right... He looks awful at the plate...

Great movie... At this point, i'd even watch Waterworld over this boring game... You already know the outcome of this game... Why waste your time? I'm going to watch something else... This is over...

I do too. I am a big fan of Elias. He typically keeps you in the game and doesn't get rattled. Its just unfortunate that the offense gets its ass handed to them most of the time.
