Live in the NE Indiana and NW Ohio area and two hrs tops south of the Michigan line. Many Buckeye and Irish fans in this area. I'm a Michigan fan. Most fans in this area regardless of team aren't too bad. The few seem to be 75% Buckeye and 15% Irish. I'd say 9% Michigan and 1% Other.

They were pretty awful before Nov. 26th, then a lot of them calmed down and some even disappeared off the college board for some odd reason. I can't seem to find the significance of that date

I experienced the same thing with libtards after Nov 8th, I wonder if they're connected somehow?

Yeah, that home-cookin' in the Shoe was tough to swallow, but hey refs are human and they make mistakes too. Michigan suffered a crazy loss to MSU last year, they righted the ship in that rivalry and I fully expect Michigan to make strides against OSU, Dylna McCaffrey will be worlds better than Speight, though losing the most dynamic player in college football (Peppers) will be something they need to overcome.

Meh...Michigan fans are a lot less arrogant than several fan bases...Alabama and Ohio State come immediately to mind...the difference with Michigan is that they haven't done anything to back it up in a generation.

This twice ^^ Any team that has won something, not even a NC just something has arrogant fans. MI fans do try to play the academic card a great deal as if they use different standards for athletes than NCAA guidelines. I think that is where much of it comes in at.

Is it safe to assume you have on a turtle neck under your jacket with leather elbow patches?

Harbaugh himself crushed that narrative nearly a decade ago.

But as a guy that's at one time, or three, in his life, had an Ann Arbor address, he gets a pass for being honest from the delusional fanbase.

I don't think Paul likes where things have been heading the last few years.

He forgot to put the word "unjustifiably" between 'most' and 'arrogant'.

Weird, I find ESPN to be the most arrogant (and shitty) sports news source ever. So I guess were even.

Same here but Fox Sports must have been jealous of ESPN's douchebaggery to be willing to fork out that much money to Skip Clueless!

I agree you won't find more arrogant and pretentious anywhere except maybe the west coast.

Y'all aren't so bad on this site, but the entitlement and looking down your nose at fanbases who have earned and deserve more respect based on the last 50 years is real.

But in all seriousness as a kid growing up through the 90s the Michigan fan base was bad...really bad. You would have thought they were on an Alabama type run with how high their chins were pointed up

EDIT: that doesn't take away from the fact that their are some good Michigan posters on here. I generally can find common ground with @Lions=TeHsUcKs @belcherboy and @Voltaire26 . Even @MAIZEandBLUE09 despite some of the stupid shit he spouts, always sticks around and takes his lumps and will stick to his guns. I can sorta respect that

When I lived in Cleveland, through the late 80s and mid 90s, the buckeye fans there were some of the most obnoxious people I've even met... up until The Game most years. Now, with the wonderful internet, we get a little of everyone's crazy.

The truth of the matter is that every single fan base has delusional and obnoxious fans. Based on your geography, some look worse than others, but it all really comes down to winning. When your team is winning, those annoying fans are out in droves. When they're struggling, those fans usually disappear.

Visit Ann Arbor and you will find out he is right.

Visit any college town and you'll find that fan base is the most arrogant. For example, spend some time in Lexington, KY around basketball season.

Michigan's standards for athletes go beyond NCAA guidelines. Like Wisconsin, Michigan has standards even the best athletes must attain to be admitted. As a matter of policy, the University must approve all athletic scholarships, and Michigan does not accept athletes from junior colleges although it does accept junior college students who meet transfer requirements.
