For undisclosed pick. I'm still somewhat confused as to why we got rid of him.

RT @AdamSchefter: 49ers traded S Taylor Mays to Bengals for an undisclosed draft pick.

Woo freaking hoo. I wonder what we got for him. It was really for the best. Even if we get a 7th rounder, at least we got something.

if there was ANY kind of potential, we wouldn't trade him. sooner or later we fans have to get past his measurables and accept.....he just doesn't have the football instincts.

NO ONE is happy about a bad 2nd round pick, but forcing him on the roster is making it worse.

signing the second Safety in Whitner was already sending a big hint, and when we re-signed Goldson, the picture was clear.

Nate Clements, Manny Lawson, and Taylor Mays

Only the Bengals would try and be the 49er's

No need to be confused. He wasn't good. I thought he would be good too. But doesn't seem to have the mental skills and the coverage skills. Thanks again Sing!

Does anyone think it's undisclosed based on Mays's playing time? Like if he starts it's a higher pick.

I don't know about that fit, I like him better in a cover two but at least he'll get a chance and likely move to OLB which I think is an appropriate position for him.

That crossed my mind as well. A conditional pick, could very well be.

Question: Does anyone that formerly worked with the 49ers defense last year work for the Bengals defense this year? They really like our defensive players.
