Manaea Traded To Padres

Padres acquired LHP Sean Manaea from the Athletics for INF Euribiel Angeles and RHP Adrian Martinez.​

Manaea was at the epicenter of trade rumors for the last few weeks and the Athletics finally found a trade partner. The 30-year-old left hander represents a big addition to the Padres' starting rotation after posting a solid 3.91 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and 194/41 K/BB ratio across 179 1/3 innings last season. He'll solidify a rotation that also includes Yu Darvish, Blake Snell, Joe Musgrove, and Mike Clevinger.
