Teams actually lose to OSU? :pound:

They lost to tOSU when the Buckeyes won the NC and all those BCS bowls. How did SCe do in their BCS bowls?

Anecdotal:

"I stood in Tiger Stadium and I thought, 'This is what the Colosseum in Rome must have been like.'" -- Ed Simonini, Texas A&M linebacker.

"It was like the Colosseum in Rome and we were the Christians." -- The late Bobby Dodd of Georgia Tech.

"Unbelievable, crazy. That place makes Notre Dame seem like Romper Room." -- Brad Budde, USC lineman.

"It makes a body tingle. These folks go berserk when the band marches on the field. A huge roar is heard for the invocation, for heaven's sake. They not only know the words to the national anthem, they sing them, loudly. And when the Tigers win the toss...there are tears of ecstasy." -- Douglas Looney, Sports Illustrated describing a Saturday night in Death Valley.

"Baton Rouge happens to be the worst place in the world to be a visiting team." -- The Late Paul "Bear" Bryant, head coach of Kentucky, Texas A&M and Alabama.

"The difference between a night game and a day game at Tiger Stadium is that at night you can smell the bourbon on the field."

-Mike Archer

It's actually hard to get to a BCS bowl when you play in a major conference. But you wouldn't know about that.
:cool2:

Well for the lesser teams you are right. But that crystal ball looks great in Columbus.

OK.. I go to all the Duck games and Oregon puts in 60K for every game 1st off. Not 45k... Dont be disrespectful...

And I have been to Madison for a football game in 1999 or 2000, been to Denney, been to Swamp.

The only one of these close to Autzen is the Swamp. When you get to a certain threshold of loud does it matter?

LSU, FLA, Oregon, Washington are in a league of their own. The debate starts after those 4... Havent been to aTm but from what I have heard they are in the list of the 4 above.

As far as teams that travel well... I think the B1G has that on lock. Were you at the Rose Bowl? Wisconsin had nearly 2/3 of the Rose Bowl filled while the other 1/3 were Duck fans.

I put Nebraska, Wisky, tOSU, Iowa, as the fan bases that travel best. From what I have seen... Looking forward to see how Tennessee travels when they come to Autzen this September....

Report: LSU to play in Rose Bowl - College Football - ESPN

"More than 16,000 tickets for the Rose Bowl were pre-sold between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday night, LSU ticket manager Brian Broussard told the Shreveport Times, bringing the total of LSU Rose Bowl pre-sales to 32,000."

even when we don't get to go, we "travel" well

Yeah the south teams IMO are #2 behind B1G in traveling. You could have a game at Millers Pond announced Friday night and you would have 40,000 Buckeyes there with nuts hangin around their necks all scarlet and silver to their skivies...

PAC could very well be last in that category. I go to all the home games and one PAC road game a year and if the bowl game is worth a shit I try and pack up the wife and kids for a vacation... But overall PAC doesnt travel well...
