Doesn't every fan think that about their stadium? At least the major D1 fans anyway. Don't think you will find many who think their stadium is a lame shit hole.

Maybe the question should be what is the worst stadium you have been to.

No question. The Mausoleum in Los Angeles... BY FAR!!!

I think it would be hard for a Wazzu fan to say with a straight face that their stadium is loud and intimidating.

That would have been my pick in the Pac, but I haven't been to every stadium here either. Even lil Martin stadium is better than that bloated waste of space.

Martin stadium can be kinda brutal for a small venue. They are some ornery bastards....

According to wikipedia Autzen has had over 60k exactly TWICE. Just saying...
First time over 60k was against UW Nov 6 2010 (no shock there) and second was ASU October 15th 2011.

But don't let facts get in the way of a good story!

Wikipedia isnt facts. it is an ok source but anyone can put stuff in there. it isnt like it gets updated all the time. I think i remember seeing something on there for a few hours about Urban Meyer selling his daughter.

I agree, but when there are really bad facts people call bullshit and change it. Given that both examples of high seating were within the last couple of years it would still prove the point that 60k+ isn't a common thing. Now if you have a link to an article showing there have been quite a few then I'd be happy to retract it.

Imagine what Autzen would be if it held 80k or more. Still, no one denies that it isn't just the team that makes travel there so much of a challenge.

oregon had no problem when they expanded from 41k to 54k selling out. and i know there are plenty of people that get turned away for tix im sure they could handle another 15k or more.

You may be surprised. VT has sold out every game for 10+ years, but that would probably change if they added 15,000 seats. Oregon and VT don't have huge urban markets close by like most big stadium cfb venues....outside of maybe Portland.

59,000 seems tiny by big time program standards.

If Oregon wants to be a true big time player, they got to do something about that stadium.

Whether they are Loud or not, nothing is more intimidating than 100,000 + people.

60,000 people and can't hear the snap count >>> 100,000 and can hear a pin drop.......any day of the week.

Carefully Bro. That was only 59k and change. Wiz is likely to call you out again.

(I guess husky fan would rather lose in front of 64k fans than win in front of 59k) :laugh3:

No, if they want to be a big time player all they need to do is win a national title or 'natty' as they seem to like to call it. Being close with a loud base is nice, but putting the crystal ball in your case makes you legit by any standard.

(Too bad they won't ever get there :suds:)

Of the 100,000 plus groups, I don't see any that are particularly quiet.

Michigan, Ohio State, Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, Nebraska, Penn State, and the like are all loud and passionate fans.

Texas is adding another 20,000-30,000 by 2020 and possibly getting up to 130,000.

So, I think the arms race will begin again with the 100K guys.

I doubt Michigan will enjoy being #2 and try and add more as well.
