Probably nothing to do with the fact that he turned down the largest RB contract ever even though he's twice been suspended and played a full season once.

RB's coming off of a tag year have got to be among the worst investments in sports, dollar for dollar, these days. Future production ain't that sexy looking for Bell, imo.

Normally I don't like it when a team keeps a guy tagged through his prime and causes them to not get an extension until near the end of the prime of their career, but not here.

When a player is just delusional as to his on-field value it doesn't give you much of a choice unless you're dead set on

A) Trading Bell
B) Drafting a RB
C) Keeping Bell on the Tag [maybe the least good option]

The offer sheet is basically a poison pill to other teams signing. It does pretty close to nothing to actually get the player signed.

I just don't think a team should be able to franchise a player more than once. Not a fan of that system at all especially in a sport like football where your prime is so damn short once you're off that rookie contract

I usually hate to hear millionaires argiung over money but Bell is definitely the league's top running back and should be paid accordingly. Still, its hard to feel sorry for a guy making 12 million dollars a year playing football

Steelers should trade him and their one to the Browns for,the one and four. Get your QB of the future and upgrade Bell with Barkley for way less cash

Not a good deal for Cleveland since he wants all that money. Bells $$$$$ demands are lowering his trade value.

True. They'd probably need to throw in another pick for Cleveland. Browns could definitely absorb the money though but would they even want to have Bell instead of Barkley? I don't think I would especially sith the cash difference

While he was suspended from his job as a football player on account of drugs. Good times.

The NFL is a passing league right now and you don't need to waste money on a RB. Sucks for Bell, but it's hard to feel bad for an asshole like him.
