:L never fails from you
Yeah we already figured Cleveland would need more than Bell and the Steelers one. Probably at least another 1

In that case why isn't he bitching about how much QB's make ? They take less of a pounding than anyone..

My guess......it's a skill thing. Like I said, with WRs being franchised at $16M and RB's running AND catching passes, "I" think he has a legit argument.

Yeah, it's kinda crazy though when you look at his salary and try to imagine complaining about it... MAN, it's not like he's gonna be in the food bank line anytime soon... It's crazy how much these guy's make now.. Imagine making that kinda money every year, it's like playing monopoly and winning ...

Like any market it's supply and demand and the supply of quality RBs just outweighs the demand for them.

Bell is a top tier RB without a doubt but you simply don't need an elite RB to be successful in today's NFL and you can find quality RBs throughout the draft every year.

In a league where you have finite resources with the salary cap it's better to grab backs in the draft and let them walk come contract time and grab another one.

I'm curious if he would rather get paid what he wants and be on a non-playoff team or stick with Pittsburgh for what they are offering?

I'm not saying he isn't really good, I'm just saying that in today's NFL you don't need a big dollar feature RB to win. I think there are more really good players at the RB position than at any other position, so why overpay for something that is not only plentiful, but not really necessary to win SBs.
That's a fair argument. A solid running game is more important to bad weather city teams than those in say Florida or domed teams.

I think I would rather play on a good team for a little less money. It can't be any fun getting the shit kicked out of you physically and having no chance for team success.

RB's coming off of a tag year have got to be among the worst investments in sports, dollar for dollar, these days. Future production ain't that sexy looking for Bell, imo.

Not to mention - 26 year old RB with a couple of surgeries and a lot of mileage under his belt (400+ touches last year). Realistically/historically. It just doesn't stand to reason that he has more than 2 year (3 tops) of his prime left. He already turned down the highest paying RB contract of all-time... now he's acting like a victim. Go screw.

RB's are a dime-a-dozen in this league. I get that he's a special talent... but no RB in 2018 is this special. Beat it.

I agree with you but some people would say that the extra money you make playing on a shitty team would compensate. I always assumed that if I ever made multi-millions like Bell, and extra few million would be expendable if it came down to what team I played on?

When's the last time a big contract to a RB worked out?

Steelers are smart just tagging him. No sane team would give him a long-term deal IMO.
