How horrible of a Dman is Scud's? he can't clear the zone to save his life

I keep harping on it, make him a winger...problem solved on multiple fronts. Allows Despres and Borts some Dman time, while adding some dynamic skill to the top lines

Always been a problem of his, I think he needs a more structured guy to play with like Niskanen or Maata. Letang freelances too much, and Scuds isn't good at reacting to that type of player.

He makes a great point about the Recchi trade. Tocchet provided that power-forward look on the top six, and Samuelsson and Wregget provided depth for another cup run. Could Letang bring back a similar haul of top line toughness and maybe a back-up with playoff experience in net?
