Where would you look this up?

i don't know actually. but someone said it had only been done once. florida in 2008. i can verify that florida did it in 2008 but can't actually verify it hasn't been done some other time (though no examples anyone has mentioned in the thread have panned out).

It's never been done by anyone else. I personally can guarentee that. Just wondering where someone else might look it up.

College Football Trivia seems to have a lot of different ways to search for things like this. i'd start there.

You've been beating the drum on this since this morning dude. Get over yourself and realize not too many people outside the auburn program give a shit about the tigers. Kudos for beating Bama I'm glad that will sustain you for a year.

In 2000 Oklahoma defeated #1 Nebraska, #1 Kansas St., and #1 Texas in 3 consecutive weeks. Then went on to beat #1 Fsu for the Natty.

This isnt accurate. Oklahoma in 2000 beat Texas #10, KSU top 5 and Nebraska was #1. All three back to back to back. And of course #1 FSU whom btw was nearly a 20 point favorite.

More BS from the king of BS

Don't worry, Sakau will be back on these boards very soon sucking the skin off of Bama's dick and will let SEC teams run a train on his ass after bowl season, while proclaiming SEC supremacy.....

just like ND last year, Auburn isn't surprising anyone and will lose as expected being an 8 point underdog

I remember 2000 well. The undefeated Oklahoma Sooners were a lock for the title game because they were #1. There was a large argument between who was #2, Miami, or Florida State, one each being ranked #2 in a poll, the other #3. Which, of course, means Florida State was not #1.

FSU was #2 in BCS and AP. Washington should have been #2 and played Oklahoma though.

Miami and Notre Dame have won 9 games against teams that were #1, in the AP, Coaches, or BCS polls. More than anyone. The more interesting thing is Purdue has 8, beating Notre Dame 5 times as a #1 team.

For fun, I looked up the coach with the most wins over a #1 team. Anybody care to guess which two tied for the most?

In 1988 ND beat the teams that finished at #2, #4, #5 and #7 in the final AP poll. Pretty impressive considering if they would have lost to the #2, #4 or #5 team those teams would have won the championship.
