No, IMO Gruden would not be a good hire. The game has pasted him by.
You've been fired.

I didn't hear that rumor about giving Gruden GM duties. That wouldn't end well
Dungys HS beat my HS in the state finals this year. So fuck him.
And RIP Flip Saunders.
That's unlikely.
How do you feel about the Raiders dumping Crabtree?
I don't know to be honest but I'm stunned. He has played well since coming to Oakland but something is going on with him.
Coop needs to go also. Maybe draft a WR or chase one in FA....but we need defensive help also.
We have a few guys in Roberts and Patterson who are decent, but mainly slot WR's.....Johnny Holton has some potential but he's raw and probably best suited to being a 4th WR for now.
Amari Cooper?
No.
He died in October of 2015. You just hear about it?
carr cant carry a team weve seen thatToo much is left to Carr to try and outscore the other team.
Frustrating.
yesI dont view Dungy the same way as you....I think he would have had a very short coaching career if he wasnt gifted one of the greatest QB's we have ever seen

I wouldnt give up on cooper yet. It is a down season for the offense as a whole. The change in coaching might help. Crabtree can be a Diva. When he was in SF he complained about Alex Smith then later about Kaepernick. An unwanted locker room dustractionCoop needs to go also. He is a good x's and o's person and a tremendous motivator. He is however horrible at evaluating talent. So if hired the Raiders will do well his first year and slowly migrate into a mediocre team.
And to be fair, he should have won a SB with the Raiders if the league didnt make up a rule on the fly in order to help the Patriots win

Gruden is 54, and it's been almost 10 years since he's been a HC.
Any NFL coaching job is much more demanding than a broadcasting position. Coaches tend to work insane hours during the season, like at least 70-80 hours a week. Assuming he gets hired, I'm guessing Gruden is going to quickly discover that he's gotten "soft" and it's not that easy to just "turn the switch" and start working those hours again.
Of course chronological age alone won't prevent him from being a successful HC. Marv was in his 60's when the Bills made their Super Bowl appearances.
