I found a tough stretch in Denver schedule

When I looked at their schedule several weeks ago I guess I overlooked this because I probably did not think the Chiefs were for real so after Denver bye week they have 4 straight tough games with 3 of them being on the road

@ San Diego
VS KC
@ New England
@ KC

Serious question. How many of those games you see them losing? Right now I would say 1 but 2 wouldn't be a shock to me

Thoughts?

SD is a bad team.

New England has a ways to go to pose a challenge. KC may or may not be able to compete, but worst case, it's 3 tough games, not 4.

NE can beat them only if the offense gels ( not the case right now)

KC has enough personnel of high caliber ( So far it appears) that it might be able to force PeyPey to hold the ball long enough for a pass rush to be relevant, and therefore, slow the Broncos O down... easier said than it is to actually do it.

I disagree about San Diego being a bad team. Last night was their first bad game and it was a rivalry/division game which are always tough especially on the road but they could've easily been 4-0 entering that game. They were 2 plays away in the first 4 weeks from being 4-0 and giving the AFC West 3 undefeated teams through the first quarter of the season.

I would say the Broncos have a great chance in the home game against KC and the away game against SD to win. The other two could be a toss up. Those games are so far away no telling if NE can get that offense to start clicking and for KC they have yet to have that serious injury that most teams have so very interested to see if that happens and if it does how they can handle it. I would say Broncos lose @KC though and maybe pull one out against NE.

Of course you missed some tough games on Denver's schedule. For example, the game last Sunday, a game about which you started a thread predicting that Denver would lose in Dallas, was also a tough game. Also have what figures to be a tough game in Indy in Week 7 and road games to close the season at Houston and Oakland, both of which could be potentially tough games.

So, you should have ongoing opportunities to start threads predicting the Broncos will fail. The odds favor that you will eventually get something right. Just think it's important to keep count of how many attempts you make before getting something right.

Last Sunday shouldn't have been tough. Dallas is also a bad team.

Dallas can be difficult at times, but they are very difficult to predict on any given sunday... Prototypical 8-8 team that could be a contender, but isn't ( Or are they in the NFC LEast?).

I'm familiar with your opinion that Dallas is a bad team. Certainly didn't see anything from their defense that makes me disagree with that. I did see that their offense, which I already knew includes some formidable weapons, is at least potentially good.

Cowboys look so far like the closest thing to a playoff team that must emerge from that division.

When I looked at their schedule after week 2 the only games I saw as possible losses were Dallas, NE,Indy, SD (on the road), and Houston. Now I see Indy, SD, NE, and KC as possible losses. Houston and Oakland should be easy wins if the Broncos are still playing their starters for 4 quarters.

Why do you get your panties in a bunch after every thread I start? Denver will finish 13-3 or 14-2 and have home field through out the playoffs....Just hope Peyton doesn't choke yet again

If they make the playoffs it's by default.

If you say so, but I'll wait and see. Not too unusual for a team's level of play to improve over the course of a season.

SD had a thin roster to start with now half of it is injured. They won't even be a speed bump. Rivers could have a Romo like day, but would need 70 to win.

I'm very impressed with KC and think they could hold Denver under 30, perhaps around 20. Problem is I'm not sure they could put up enough points to win.

The two road games on that list are probably the toughest. @NE and @KC

RB, LT, LG, WR1, WR2, OLB1, OLB2, CB2, SS

Those are all the positions for which the Chargers are missing starters to injury. Some of those positions are missing the backups as well. If the Chargers were full strength I might agree. But as they stand now they'd get destroyed by Denver.

At most they lose 1 of those games, and it's probably at Kansas City.

Indy just knocked off Seattle and they host Denver in two weeks. Should have that one on the list too.

I'd be shocked if Peyton let the Broncos lose in his return to Indy.

That is shaping up to be a pretty big game, in my opinion. Add to PMFM's return to Indy that the Colts have been very impressive to begin the season and this game will generate a lot of interest. Could be a great game.

At most they lose 1 of those games, and it's probably at Kansas City.

I could see 2-2 if the pats are where they should be and Kansas City shows up defensively. I see little chance of losing both to KC or losing to SD.
