How many of you guys played HS ball?

I was a 3 year starter at TE and DE, we won state my sophomore year 1981. Jr and Sr years we only won 5 or 6 games.

My generation! Ranked 5th in the Nation by USA Today, Parade All American #1 QB in Mark Rypien and still lost in the quarterfinals. I get having a bad game.

I played a little. Biggest claim to fame was getting called for a clip on what would have otherwise been a long TD run in 7-0 loss to our biggest rival. I was much better in sandlot ball, where there were no damn refs!

hilarious...me too except it was a hold on the LB on a reverse...35 yrd TD called back...too skinny for football after that season...basketball, CC and track seemed more reasonable.

My high school is playing for a state title tonight. I played for one in '91 and lost. Good luck to my boys tonight! Have any of you played for one? When you're 17 or 18 years old it's the biggest moment of your life.

Played at Dillard High School down in Fort Lauderdale. I was the only white player on the team.
