Yeah
There's nothing like having the best Head Coaching handoff ever in the history of College Football or anything.
C'mon man.
That's a stretch.

Remember when Nebraska fired Solich and then named some guy the head coach 3 months later after they got turned down like 12 times for firing a 10 win coach???

Or how about how well the handled Pelini's firing.
We got some dude from Eastern Coastal Oregon to replace him. I hear he's a nice guy.

Maybe
I always thought the Osborne to Solich was pretty good.

Did I forget the sarcasm font again???

On Osborne to Solich, it was handled well, and was done to reward a long time assistant.
However, it's really friggin tough to be the man who follows the Man.
Took Osborne 22 years to get over that hump.

RARELY does that work out

Usually its the third guy removed from the MAN that ends up being successful.

Well fuck.

Unfortunately, that was "9 win" Pelini.
I think...
I've lost track at this point.

Got to have the right training.

On a good note he did finally beat grandpa this past season. Only OU stands in WVU's way of defeating everyone in conference.

That's actually really pathetic considering we've been in this conference going on 6 seasons now. :L

That Johnny Manziel burst is looking more and more like a fart, fizzle and fall for Sumlin and Coach GQ huh?
Farts have more lingering power

Riley and Herman being close in age could help the situation as far as recruiting and the RRS (not that it needs THAT much) for the next 5-10 years. OU/Texas kind of feed off of each other anyway so...It COULD work out well if both are what both schools hope they are. No doubt about it though, OU's future is a mystery at this point, they go from HOF head man to totally unproven coordinator taking over one of the best brands in CFB. IMO Texas is in the better position right now with Herman but, time will tell.
