Have you people watched football or the development of Joseph over the past few years?

I am intrigued by Toub honestly. Joseph seems redundant at best. If we keep Wade then we are hoping that Joseph can be a great leader as he hasn't had great results on field. In time maybe he could but I see what Fox did with that D in Chicago with virtually no talent and they played hard all year and offered good resistance. That then places a ton of pressure on a D guy to pick a good o guy.. or he is not picking any staff if you think Elway will choose... would be odd.

Shanahan would leave our d staff intact and he would bring in some offensive coaches.


Toub (many great coaches were special teams coaches (cowhard got his start, Marty was). You get a guy who has consistently fielded top special teams units, plus for us with our deficiencies, but also that consistency on a unit that often lacks consistency shows good management. Now what kind of overall vision would he have for the team as a whole? Aggressive, conservative field position type game...

Trust Elway as he made two good hires but imo they were pretty obvious ones ... team was in shambles after McD fox made all the sense in the world as a vet coach to calm the waters... it was ballsy to let fox go but the right move and kubiak and Elway have long history ... made lots of sense. Hopefully this next pick is the right one ... it will be interesting to see what their vision is for the broncos

Heard on the radio this morning that Joseph reached out to Mike McCoy to gauge his interest in becoming his OC if he lands a head coaching gig. McCoy looks to be the hottest candidate for OC in the league right now.

Thing is when you get in a close game and it is win or go home and Elway sitting a box up in above and seeing mistakes by a Coach that got Schooled and that was going over his head because they are just a manger would not hold water long .

Shanahan can go head to head with X's and O's with Elway ..He is our new Head Coach .Book it !

Wade has been what this team has needed for years . A DC that want's to be a DC only and is a bad ass man ..I will be so F'n pissed if we go back to flavor of the year DC's !

Few things I've learned over the last couple of days...

Shanahan--Told Broncos he wants the job. There is no doubt where his top choice is anymore. One of the first things he said in the interview is he wants to be with the Broncos above anybody else.

Said his dad will have nothing to do with him coaching in Denver. Said he doesn't call his dad for advice at the job he has now and won't be doing that in Denver either. So don't expect Mike Shanahan to be connected to the Broncos in any way other than cheering on his son.


Broncos are not planning any other interviews after Vance Joseph tomorrow. So almost a certainty that our next coach is either Toub, Shanahan, or Joseph.

On Wade Phillips returning. As much as I would love to see it he is wanting $3-4 million a year to coach. He has told the Broncos he wants to be the highest paid DC in the NFL and knows he can get it elsewhere if the Broncos don't offer it to him.

Vance Joseph has called Mike McCoy to ask if he would be willing to be his OC. From what I understand McCoy has told him it depends where he gets hired. IF it is with the Broncos good chance he would be our OC.

Yup I could definitely live with this. I would love if he could bring Wisenhunt maybe as QB coach to work with these young guys.

Honestly right now it does seem to be 50/50 of which one is our HC. I've seen guys like Woody Paige, Jeff Legwold, and others all say it will be Kyle Shanahan and other guys like Troy Renck, Mike Klis, and others saying Vance Joseph
