There was once a Pittsburgh Steelers player I knew who was getting activated off the PS for an upcoming game. (This was years ago when I first had player contact) He told me he was getting activated but the team had not put it in the transactions yet.... Somehow the word got around and (very nicely) asked me not to post news he told me just incase the team didn't like it being out there before it was made official... Ever since then I have always sorta laid low with info players have given me other then basic stuff. I felt kind of bad after that.

Yeah I won't be putting it on twitter any time soon. I figure this group is pretty safe. I don't usually give that info out but at this point again just because they were very impressed with Shanahan doesn't mean he is for sure being given the job. Vance Joseph really is thought very highly of by especially John Elway.

Niners are suppose to be interviewing Tom Cable next Sunday.

Bills wants their next coach to have more GM power. Sounds like Anthony Lynn is still the front runner.

Possible Great news for us... Packers are said to be looking at Chiefs GM as their next GM to replace Ted Thompson.

Teryl Austin to interview with the Chargers and Rams.

Tom Cable is an interesting character. He was once the OC at CU. If I remember right - in Seattle - he punched out another coach in a Seahawk coaches meeting.

I was thinking of those possibilities who are still looking down at the grass....

He would have died at the Alamo - if they let him. ;)

I believe he did that when he was on Oakland.

Bell has run it on every play in this drive
Don't recall ever seeing an 80 yard drive by a single running back

Yes, because one game defines a head coach. Lets cross him off the list. :gaah:

Have you people watched football or the development of Joseph over the past few years?

Good friggin lord!

Let's hire Romeo Crennel because he only gave up 14 points in a playoff game last night. He seems like the right choice based off that.

Joseph inherited possibly the worst Defense with a terrible secondary going into this year, he did a hell of a job with them over the course of the year.

Looking at 2015 vs 2016 defensive stats they look almost identical

I would care less about Joseph's Miami defense this year if Wade Phillips stays! #keepwade!

DC my question would be what has Joseph actually done... he has potential and is respected but he has coached the Bengals DBs to sub standard results in Cincy and talent or no this Dolphins d has been unacceptable by Broncos fans standards. So really his main success has been under Wade. From the outside looking in im not thrilled... if the broncos d has any regression we will not see the playoffs for awhile.

I'm ok with Kyle... seems we need to a good coach to help these qbs along

Here's what we know. John Elway and the Broncos REALLY like Vance Joseph. They are looking at him as an incredible communicator and motivator and less for his X's and O's. IF Joseph were to become HC, the vision is that he would be the CEO of the team and the coordinators would call the plays. It would be great if Wade Phillips stayed on but that's starting to look like it may not happen. I've said several times that the coordinators for the Broncos are arguably as important as the Head Coach decision.

In the Shanahan scenario, it's also arguable that he would be much more involved in play calling with the offense than Joseph would be in calling plays for the D.

It seems like the Broncos are exploring two paths:
  1. Bring in the hot O coordinator as HC to fix the Broncos offense and leave the defense alone OR
  2. Bring in the young D coordinator that can motivate the entire team and place a ton of emphasis on selecting capable coordinators.
Most that are close to the Broncos front office have said that Elway will play a large role in selection of the entire coaching staff and will have a lot of influence on whoever becomes the new Head Coach.
