What in your opinion was the greatest WS. I would say either the 91 Braves/Twins or the 01 DBacks/Yanks.

But this years was also a great WS.

From a team fan perspective I would go with 77, 86, 96, or 99.

From what was the most enjoyable to watch, IMO it would have to be a seven game series that had a lot of close games. 91, 97, 01, or 11 (Rangers Cardinals was in 11 right?) are the ones that come to mind.

From all them I would pick the 97 one as the best.

1991 World Series and 2011 World Series are the best two of my lifetime.

Of the ones I have seen. 1975, 1979, 1987, 1991, 1997, 2001, 2011

I pick 1991 for obvious reasons but honestly that was an amazing series. Games 6 and 7 were maybe the best World Series games i've ever seen, but i'm a homer so...

2011 was another good one. The Ranger were within 1 strike numerous times of winning the WS.

Dude I don't even want to think about 96. We fucking blew that one.

despite the Yankees losing the series, the 2001 Yankees vs diamondbacks was amazing...

Went to game 5 at yankee stadium... best game i have ever seen... and was exciting as hell...

I gotta go with 1979. Pirates and O's Even though my fav team at the time lost. It is my first WS I remember completely. Anytime I hear "we are family" I think 79' WS

As a homer, it's 95.

As far as the one's I've seen live, 2001 was my favorite, but 2011 was great as well.

Historically, I'd go with 91. It was the year I was born, so I didn't see it live, but I have watched it in its entirety and it was a great series, even though my team was on the losing end.

What was the year when the Marlins and Indians played? I remember being a kid and loving that one.

Or the Twins/Braves one was pretty awesome.

I was a freshman in HS and every year there the Varsity team would play the Frosh team just to beat the living shit out of us..................I was a catcher and I got to see a really good view of one of your boys just fucking crushing the ball...................Shane Mack was good. Really good. Especially in HS.

2002 for me................yeah, it's a homer pick but hell, we only have one. Other than that, 79 was up there.

The best, most impressive call I ever saw an umpire make was in that Series.

'95 was my favorite, but I guess I would go with '91. Two worst to first teams in an epic struggle culminated with a legendary game 7.

Fucking Lonnie Smith.
