yep coaches suck in every sport. they all play not to lose when that is exactly what ends up happening. Ill never understand prevent defense in ftball, running the shot clock down in bball, or dumping the puck in hockey. play to win the game people

Sometimes, it's just an inch one way or the other.

Played a lot of goalie in top level international hockey, have you?

They played sixty minutes. And got some bad luck in the last two of them.

Defensive coverage was perfect (5 to 3) and the goalie could not have been better placed. Had the puck not deflected, it is right in the breadbasket.

Again, 4 white jerseys surrounding the Canadian player who never gets the puck if 1) the defender has her stick down and blocks it or 2) the goalie lets it though without redirecting it (it would go about six feet out of Poulin's reach).

It's competition and equal competition at that. You go out there and play in a way that puts the pressure on the other guy to make a play to beat you. And in this case, the other guy made the plays.
