The Hobs/Bengals explanation of the salary cap and not spending money is like the equivalent of me, a 35 year old unmarried male, saving every dollar I make, in case one day I have a kid (except I'm not planning to) and one day that kid will have to go to college.

What's sad is that they have a lot of our fans believing it hook, line and sinker...... Even as we are losing valuable players, we're still rolling out the bullshit about keeping our own.

Go to Bengals.com and peruse the message boards there. Those people truly believe it. I think they may be the dumbest people alive.

That's funny, I was just thinking this morning that I should take a trip over there -- I need something to entertain me during this crappy offseason.

(Extra) point of emphasis

Hobs' new reason for being inactive in FA -- If we sign someone we'll potentially blow the fourth round pick we're due for losing Anthony Collins.

God bless Geoff Hobson.

How the hell can we afford to sign Captain Checkdown with only $26 million in cap room?

It looks like AJ is just going to need to take less money.

Ha Ha!!! There's NO WAY they will ever be able to sign Russell Wilson and Richard Sherman now. You simply can't have any security for future contracts when you don't save 40 millions dollars from your cap. When will these teams learn?
