LA is the worst sports town. You put a NFL team in ANY other major city and it sells out regardless of the teams performance. Yet another reason LA county is the shit stain of America.

Only 13 NFL teams sold out the season at home last year. Teams that didn't include both Super Bowl teams, both the Giants and Jets, the Steelers, the Chiefs, the Vikings (with their new stadium), the Browns, the Redskins, etc. A lot of these teams have reputations as strongly represented home teams.

I should have specified any new city obtaining a new team. Football is back in LA and that stadium was less than half full. That's unacceptable.

They still have to win to keep fans coming back. Last season was a disaster, and even still the lowest attendance (tickets sold) was over 74K. They reportedly distributed 60K in week 1, whatever that means. A stadium that size (93,607 capacity) skews the optics a bit, but a lot of those 60K weren't present in the pics that have been shown.

When the Rams came back I believe they sold out the Coliseum for their 1st game back. Understandable seeing as they spent 50-some years there and people were excited about their homecoming.

Chargers on the other hand still have tickets available for their home opener in a 27k seat stadium.

Uh oh....

That's my point. There was a Chinese fire drill to get these teams to LA and neither team can muster a sell out in their home opener.

Bottom line... LA is a joke of a sports town and in my experience, an even worse place to live.

I agree, though I do have to admit that SD fans are similar. We're not bandwagon fans, we're fairweather. Put a good enough product on the field and you can get me off my paddleboard on a gorgeous SD Sunday.

That said, the one thing we have here that LA will never have is a love for the Chargers and 56 years of history. We're not the best fan base in the league, but SDSU will have more fans in the seats this week than the Chargers.

Just went to stub hub and checked Redskins @ LA Rams tickets. They started at $17. 00, you could get primo seats for less then $100. Wow.

Have you ever seen the beginning of Lakers and Dodgers games?
Yes Lakers and Dodger games routinely start during rush hour. Week in and week out. They also play 9 innings usually lasting 3.5 hours or more. Showing up a little late to a bb game is not a huge deal. It's not every week your team gets to play on MNF. If the fans cared they would've shown up.

Does anyone have a pic from the 4th qtr. That probably wouldn't tell the true story either. Most probably left.

3rd qtr pic of the stadium? Not too close to half time, you know the lines are really long at the urinals.

Put out a great team and folks will attend, even in California. Put out bottom of the division teams....then not so much.
Especially in LA. There are too many other competing elements and it's not cool for A listers to be seen at those events that aren't bringing in people.

To the Ram and Chargers fans: we have to spread the word as much as possible.

To the LA fans: get out of your caves, and support ram and charger football!

Chargers are Fuck-wads. Screwed the pooch and the good fans of SD. Chargers had some great fans and are way different from the people near LA.

The good thing about a 27k seat stadium is you don't have to bother with tarping seats.

Oh wait...

Los Angeles is not a football city.

It's been proven. If the NFL wasn't ran by this dumb fuck Goodell they wouldn't be wasting all this money, time and energy in LA.
