That's interesting. The scale of expense is insane, though. Dolphins canopy will cost $400 million.

The Dolphins canopy will be part of a $400 million renovation. So the cost of that one is less (would not be surprised if only something in the $150 million range).

Problem with Levi's Stadium could well be that the architect/architecture firm will block it (since it damages the 'integrity of the original design').

Two terrible teams last season and mainly the heat kept people away. And to be fair the Coliseum has a capacity of like 93k so it's easy for that stadium to look empty.

Very true. It will be embarrassing if the Chargers have lots of empty seats in that 30,000 seat joke of a stadium. However - that might be possible with that team.

Why? Chargers are the best of the 3 and play in a much smaller stadium. Guess we'll see Sunday

Why will it be embarrassing or why is it not possible for the Chargers to not sell out a 30,000 seat stadium? The embarrassment part is obvious. As far as not selling out - kind of joking, but having lived in that area before I really don't believe that most people there give a crap about the Chargers & I kind of doubt that many people from San Diego want to drive up to watch that team after the owner moved them out of their town.

Yeah I agree on your last sentence 100%. Most San Diego fans hate this team now. No way are they making that trip.

I think the Rams will take hold in L.A. but not the Chargers. I think you see the Chargers move to San Antonio or Portland within the next few yrs.

With crowds like this at least they aren't dumb enough to move another team there...

Apparently season tickets were sold out but if you go to ticketmaster right now you will find plenty of tickets available for their home opener(not resale). Then go to NFL ticket exchange. Looks like about half the tickets to the game are on there right now.

If there was any interest for the Chargers in LA you wouldn't be able to find a ticket for a stadium that seats 27k.

This will be on a billboard on the 405 south starting next week, along with several others yet to be revealed. Courtesy of a long time Charger fan that started a go fund me page to pay for the billboards and met his goal. It's the same guy that disrupted that massive "rally" the Chargers had when they went to LA.

That is awesome. So - have to ask - do you know people in your area who will be traveling to Carson to watch Chargers games this season? Just curious if there are still more than a handful of loyal fans who will make that trip.

Every season ticket holder or diehard fan I know has abandoned the team. One guy at work still cheers for them but says he'll never drive to Carson. I give him shit on a daily basis. Even wore an orange shirt today just to fuck with him. Teal next week.

To the Ram and Chargers fans: we have to spread the word as much as possible.

To the LA fans: get out of your caves, and support ram and charger football!

You guys are missing important facts.

1) The Rams are fighting against 2 fan bases. They are fighting against the Raiders, who has the largest fan base in LA. Then, you have the Chargers.

2) The Rams are new to a lot of people in LA, so you have to give them time to adapt to them. There wasn't a team here for 20 years so everybody had different teams to root for.

3) Look where they are playing. Everybody and their mama knows the Coliseum is a dump. Not only that, it fits over 95k people, so it will look more empty than stadiums that fit 60k people.

4) A lot of people are waiting for the new stadium in Inglewood to be finished.

5) If this was the Raiders, then that stadium would be sold out, period! It's not a city thing, it's a team thing.

Raiders have one of the weaker fanbases in the league according to the numbers, though.

This whole thing is moot. NFL cares about TV numbers more than butts in the stadium.
