Shoot me now but with 4 comp picks, I'd have to look towards Antonio Callaway if he's there in the 4th.
Dude is 1st round talent with a UDFA brain.
Him opposite Dez or even TWill for that matter would open the offense up.

Who do we bring in as backup RB? Are you comfortable with Rod Smith as Zeke's primary and think we need to draft a slasher type of back? Or do you think Smith should have competition for being #2 and we bring in a more complete back?

I keep looking over the names and grades on NFL.com and can't believe that we could get a guy like Bo Scarborough in the 4th round.

Cowboys in decent shape going into draft. Especially with mcclay. Cowboys should have lost the last game. Now we have to trade up to get that wow player

1 more loss would have moved us 3 maybe 4 spots higher, its quite possible they pick the same player anyway.

I always happy to see a late round (4th or later) draft pick brought in to challenge for RB spots.
Not really wanting to spend money on a FA RB to play back up though.

So let's say we draft Roquan Smith. I wonder what we do with our LBs. Smith would be an ideal Will IMO, but that is Lee's spot now. Not sure at his size that the Mike in our defense would be the best spot without a big ass DT in front of him. I would love the pick and wouldn't worry about it, just wondering who would play where. I get the injury concerns from getting banged around so much, but I would move Lee back to the Middle (he is a superstar anywhere), put R Smith on the weak side and J Smith/whomever on the strong side. In the nickel it would obviously be Lee and R. Smith (and maybe Joe Thomas mixed in) which would be pretty awesome and I bet we'd us Smith's speed to blitz too.

over the last 10 years or so, I tend to shy away from players coming outta UT BUT I really like LB Malik Jefferson in round 2

If Vita Vea fell to number 12, is his talent and our need enough for us to consider trading our 1st and 3rd for him?

From everything I've read, he's expected to go somewhere between 12 and 17, with us picking at 19. I don't like the thought of giving up a 2nd day pick normally, but we could really use a big guy with Vea's abilities.

I know there are also other defensive positions of need, and I like the ones that are projected to be available when we pick at 19, so, I'm not specifically suggesting it, just wondering if anyone thought that such a trade would be outrageous or possibly worth it. Maybe the other team wouldn't even consider such a trade for anything less than a 2nd, but then that's too high of a price, IMO.

Would not mind taking a flyer on Josh Adams (Notre Dame running back) with one of our late round picks.
