D.J Ward out with a spleen condition...

What?!?! This is a topic I don't know much about, in regards to the spleen. Well anyway, it doesn't look good for Ward. Hopefully he will bounce back or be able to hang up the cleats and stay healthy. Hate to hear about guy's having to drop out of football for health reasons.

The spleen is used to filter blood, I know that. So it's probably something to take seriously.

First, the kid has had a rough time recently....couldn't even play HS football because of some bs!!!

Looks like he may be out for about 6 weeks. Had surgery to have it removed.

Oklahoma freshman defensive end D.J. Ward underwent surgery to remove his spleen Tuesday morning, Sooners coach Bob Stoops said.

Ward will miss about six weeks and Stoops said there was a chance Ward might play this season.
