What if we drafted offline? Set up a draft thread first week of August. If someone is going to be gone for part of the day IM someone behind you a couple of potential picks so it goes smoothly.

That way no one is screwed by missing the draft.


Also I like the idea of allowing the previous years AQ conference in.

not a bad idea, just may not know starters, slow drafts work, but here needs to be some time limits

The issue with that, this last time around, is he'd have to have done a really thorough job with it. As soon as all the players were taken he'd have ended up in the same spot.

Anyway, we already figured out how to fix that, I'll put position limits in, just for the draft, so if someone misses the computer won't autopick all QBs.

An "offline" draft seems like way too much unneccisary work to me, when we can just log onto fantrax and knock it out in an hour. We only missed two this year, one had a good reason for missing, the other, who knows...

Fantrax also has a many hour draft time limit you can do. Did one for baseball where the time limit was 24 hours. Just throwing that out there

Something like that might be a good idea, though, it could take months if guys wait to make their pick.

I still like the idea of finding a day that everyone can agree on and getting it done.

I 100% agree with this. I was just adding another option to the pool for those that are super busy

I work in a hospital. I take call and have to come in at a moments notice. I made the draft this year because I happened to be off that day. not always the case. It is what it is life goes on

I think you are going to win the battle of the backups. Your quarterbacks sucked ass but my wide receivers sucked more

I debated starting Wimbush over Shimonek because it's just bad juju to start a key guy against your team but with our defense I was expecting a 56-35 type game where he put up some garbage points late. The fg fest worked in my favor as a fan but not for a fantasy team.

I got cute and put the LSU running back in because they were playing troy and Guice has an injury but that didn't work out.
