Sure...that's what I meant more so than an actual coach. Widely regarded as one of the best recruiters out there right now. Can sell the dream as good as CML himself..

Is everyone still standing pat with the recruiting class Jeffro?? I imagine the big dogs (Brown, Blanding, Kamara, Cutler) will all be there as long as CML is there. Still, all of these defections has to have them squirming just a little....

So far, none of the recruits currently committed are coming just because of a specific coach (other than London). It's not like Dex left for a worse position. Dex went from being a safeties coach, to now being a defensive coordinator. Being at UConn will give him the opportunity to prove himself as a coach. I'm skeptical that he has what it takes, but can't blame the man for trying to better himself. Supposedly, Bob Diaco and Vincent Brown are very tight, so I can't blame Brown for wanting to work with a close friend.

EDIT: Grimey was a good fit for what VT was trying to do. He seemed like a great recruiter to boot...tapping into the Midwest/NE talent.

I am not hedging my bets on Washington, but you never know. He turned down the job from USC which has been described as a "lucrative" offer. So I am not really sure what he is looking for. Get the skinny 757!!!

It doesn't sound like Stiney is going to slide back in that position. Although with what he is being paid to be a recruiting coordinator...he should have plenty of other responsibilities.

We will see....hopefully we won't have any more defections (assuming Taylor is as good as gone now) wrt the other guys we have on board. Let's face it, not many of them were super highly recruited. I could see some teams coming after Gallo, maybe even Smith or Mitchell.

Mitchell is the one I'd be most worried about...he had an offer from Wisconsin, but Wisky already has 5 OL committed.

If not Washington, then maybe VT can intice a decent OL coach to leave his current school and maybe bring an offensive lineman with him.

yes... Teller seems to be indicating that nobody official has told him this, yet the RTD is reporting that Mitchell (2014 recruit) was contacted by VT and told that Grimes was leaving. Why would Mitchell hear about this before Teller?
