Wasn't he the Rams OC when Mayfield was there?
He was basically fired, he was one of the few assistants thst failed for the Rams.

Yesterday, it seems was bad hire day.

Yes, but it doesn't mean much. Coen wanted the Rams OC job in 2021 but McVay didn't like the idea. He didn't think Coen was ready and he 'advised' Coen to leave to get some OC experience, which Coen did for a year. After that year McVay gave him the OC job in 2022, but it didn't really work out. Thus Coen left again. If a team is considering someone for their OC position it would make sense to ask any players on the team who had worked under that candidate elsewhere what their opinions of him were. If the opinion isn't excessive, either positive or negative, then it doesn't mean much. Mayfield wasn't with the Rams long enough to really see the issues.

Not happy with this.

Fuck Kliff Kingsbury.
Has there been any definitive word as to why he suddenly backed out? I've heard a little this, a little that, but nothing that directly caused him to turn a 180.

Not that I have heard.

Think it's because the Raiders QB position is unsettled. Think he wants to go to Washington to work with 1 of the rookies in the draft.

Raiders hired Luke Getsby to be their new offensive coordinator, according to Ian Rapoport.
The hiring has been reported for a few days, but it now appears to be official. After Kliff Kingsbury took himself out of the running for the job, Getsby immediately emerged as the favorite. Getsy served as the offensive coordinator in Chicago for two seasons before being fired at the end of this year. Under Getsby in 2023, the Bears finished the year 24th in EPA per dropback and ninth in EPA per rush attempt. That may need to change with an offense built around Devante Adams. However, Getsy also struggled to ge the most out of Justin Fields, often limiting him as a rusher, so this hiring would likely take the Raiders out of the running as a trade partner with the Bears for Fields.

There are conspiracy theories popping up. He was at USC with Caleb, maybe the Commies are trading up?

Roman? He's such a run-heavy coordinator. He's certainly not known for his innovative passing game. Sure, he's worked with Jim before, but does he really fit with the Chargers talent? Smh

Saquon incoming?
