...but they are cheap!

The current owner is, and always has been, cheap. A different HC isn't going to change that.
i live about 250 miles from charlotte, and the papers and tv here say tepper is going atfer him too

Maybe meaning they know they have to pay a haul for him, so not cheap

It won't matter. The Chargers might have won it all in 2010 but the owner low-balled 2 of the team's best players and their hold-outs contributed to the team finishing 1 win short of the playoffs. In 2016 Bosa was picked #3 overall but he held out in preseason. The owner refused to sign contract terms that were given to pretty much every previous top 5 pick for the previous 10 years. This was when the owner was still looking for a stadium deal from San Diego. The Chargers are out of San Diego because the owner was cheap.

Don't disagree, probably the worst owner in the league and that's in a league with Marc Davis

But Harbaugh should be smart enough to not sign with Temper. Guy will fire him after 6 games if he's in a bad mood.
arent coaches contract fully guaranteed.
Pretty sure the raiders are still paying Gruden! LOL

If they are. Harbaugh would be smart to sign for a huge amount & only have to be there 6 games.

While true from a financial standpoint, it fucks Harbaugh for moving to another job right away if Tepper doesn't sign off on the compensation. And I think Harbaugh knows he will make plenty of money and just wants to coach. You never know though. At any rate, the Carolina job may be one of the worst in the league.

They settled. Gruden got an undisclosed amount, but not the full 100 million.

He only fought as hard as a softened media boy would fight.

Smart by them but unfortunately, it isn't an image... It is a fact...

Teepee should not own a nfl team
I have no idea if this is true or urban legend, but I've been hearing that the Panthers front office was strongly leaning toward Stroud, but it was Tepper who insisted on them taking Young. I wonder if there's a Panther fan or someone who's closely followed the team who can either confirm this or if it's just BS. Because there's little doubt if the Panthers had taken Stroud, my Bears wouldn't have the #1 pick in this coming draft.

I heard that rumor after Reich was let go also. Supposedly Reich and the front office wanted Stroud but Tepper insisted on Young. Is it true? Hard to know but probably some truth to it.

Looks like the league fined Tepper for $300k for that drink he threw at a Jags fan.

Turned out to be one super expensive cocktail.
