Bears ink Manny Ramirez, OG. Former starter for Fox in Denver. 33 years old, it's one year deal.

He was good in his prime, and started 65 games. Good for depth, I suppose... and a borderline starter. Rather not rely on a guy that age though.

Though, it won't take much for him to work out better in Chicago than the other Manny Ramirez. Yeesh...

its a good sign. minimal risk for a vet swingman. great for depth on the line

Bears sign another Fox product from Denver in return man/special teamer, and safety Omar Bolden. Got to like bolstering the special teams.

Looks like between him and Thompson, we have some good options in the return game. You have to think Mariani is out in that department.

My guess is Thompson returns kicks and Bolden punts.

Special teamer Omar Bolden agreed to a one-year contract with the Bears.

What it means: Bolden establishes competition as a return specialist and covering kicks. As a member of the Denver Broncos for the last four seasons, he reunites in Chicago with special teams coordinator Jeff Rodgers and head coach John Fox. When healthy, Bolden has shown explosive return ability. He had a 42-yard punt return in last season's playoffs against the Pittsburgh Steelers before suffering a season-ending right knee sprain in that game. During the regular season, he returned a punt 83 yards for a touchdown. He averaged 22.8 yards on kickoff returns, down from his 33-yard averaged in 2014. He also has 27 special teams tackles in four seasons. The Bears already re-signed Deonte Thompson, who was an effective kick returner during the last third of 2015. Coaches liked Marc Mariani's reliability fielding punts, but Bolden has greater big-play upside. On defense, Bolden is a safety.

I'm no expert, but I'd say the Bears are killing it this offseason. If they can follow this up with a good draft, it could arguably be one of the better offseasons in my lifetime.
