Game Thread: Canada Vs USA - winner plays for gold

We knew they had to meet I don't like Canadas chances with the first few games we have played. I think the USA will be moving on if today is an indication of their inability to score. Aside from the fins canada has not played any strong hockey teams and have struggled to put it in the net.

Crosby needs to be better but he's not getting much help at all

I think Canada's swarming the net style combined with Quick's unpredictability on where the rebounds go will give Canada a better look than they got this game. They'll get some dirty ones.

I also don't see the US being as aggressive at the shot blocks, either. They will, just not as aggressively as Latvia did.

Plus this will be a north/south game as nether team is used to the big ice.

From what I've seen only Carter has been impactful from the forwards...and that was only one game.

Everybody has played great for us, I was literally salivating at the Suter/McDonagh pairing today

I have a feeling those guys are gonna play close to 30 minutes each on Friday and tell you what, i'm not against it. They both can do it.

We also need to keep the Cally-Backes-Brown line together, gave the Czech's all sorts of trouble today and was easily our best line.

Fuckkkkkk that, as I said on Twitter and will say it here. Once that NYR jersey is off, you're the enemy. That goes for Zucc, Nash, Hags and Hank. IDC how much I love them, my country comes first in a tournament like this. Favoritism second.

Is Jarmo part of team Finland? Didn't know that. That's my hope as well. And I can understand not being a fan of a player on the squad, probably more than cheering for a rival team because of a player. I obviously am a fan of Crosby, but nothing will make me cheer for those dirty Canadians :P

And I am an official honorary Canadian. So if they win, I won't be gutted. But the best possible outcome for me is Carter and Brown to go knee to knee and get knocked out in the first minute and Oshie to take a puck to the face and then the US wins it with a minute left.
