This is the kind of thing that I refer to in other threads and posts when I say that folks regurgitate what often sounds good but has little basis in fact. If I've heard it once, I've heard it a thousand times..."The QB is the ONLY player who touches the ball on every play." Sounds good, but not true.

Now that we know differently, maybe it's time to give the center a lot of props for not only delivering the ball in shotgun or direct snap (pass and hand-off), but also for line calls. Isn't that at least as important as any other position on the field?

I call the center the second most important OL position.

Nope...QB is still the most important.

As far as Colt goes...I think he is better than a couple wins. He isn’t quite Kirk but he is serviceable enough and the coach would be fine with rolling with him for awhile.

The next time Colt plays an entire 16 game season for a team will be his 1st time doing so as an NFL player. Now I know he hasn't played much the last couple years, but even early in his career when he was a starter. The most he played was 13 games. I like Colt. He has limitations, but he also has moxie. Unfortunately he's almost as prone to injury as the hard-head who shall remain unnamed.

He lasted what? 5 games in his last stint as a starter for us back in 2015. He wouldn't have been injured behind this year's OL. He would been hurt, than brutalized, than injured behind this year's OL..I;m nort even confident though he could last an entire season behind a very good pass blocking OL.

Putting reliance on Colt to hold down the fort the Skins for a season or two if Kirk splits is a foolhardy plan at best.

Only a QB touches the ball on every play for one half of the game. I love Ray Lewis and he was a phenominal player, unquestioned leader. That being said, Flacco impacted their wins and losses greater.

Ray Ray was 137 years old, same age as Joe Louis when Rocky Marciano kicked his ass, when Flacco led Balt to a title. Way back when the Ravens won their 1st SB though. Ray Ray was quite the game impacting sonofagun.

He has led the team to a game winning drive in 25% of his games. :nono:

Like Ricky Ricardo would say. Lucy, You got some splainin to do.

If you're not knowing where that comes from. Basically what I'm asking you is to show your work on how you came to that conclusion.

Ahh.

The Pitt/Jax game was entertaining eh. They put it on Pitt in the 1st qt and never really stalled out after that.

Yeah man, pretty good game for those J'ville boys. We may have witnessed big Ben's final game as a pro and a next step for Bortles.

BY the way, if any teams other than N.E. and Philly make the SB, it just might be the least watched game in SB history.

What do you think the ratings will be for that game?

Could care less what the ratings are as I think it would be a better game than the

Will Tom Brady win another Super Bowl show that I expect should the Patriots get in

And just fuck the Eagles.

well it looks like it will be foles or keenum in the superbowl showing that with good defenses decent qb 's can do the job . too bad our 21st ranked one doesnt qualify but we could get better on defense if we play this right and have a good qb

Sty specifically mentioned the Flacco SB.

Ray Lewis has always been an impactful player, even when not making plays himself. My point is he has less impact than a QB that threw the ball 25 times.

Damn, the Skins are #21? That's a superior DEFENSE than the best damn franchise in football!..oh wait, although the Patriots were #29 in total yards, they are #5 in the most important stat, POINTS ALLOWED...so actually, we were #27, not #21.

If you go on total yards stats thing...I guess, in your opinion, KC is the 7th best QB in the league this season.
