You are Naïve. Have your opinion, you just bought the LA, St Louis LA San Diego Koolaid!
You have priors!.

I am also in the Western NY area (approx an hour East of Buffalo) and there has been plenty of stadium discussion on local sports radio.

It's Buffalo.

I'm assuming they know they can save a fortune on construction costs by just building a giant igloo.

I like this because even though the last REAL super bowl was played between the Bills and Chiefs in KC, maybe sometime in the future the two best teams in the NFL can fight it out in Buffalo in a new stadium.

Every new stadium moving forward will likely set a new record in public funds unless the owner (like Kroenke) is footing the bill alone. Maybe if Bezos buys a team? Or one of the Apple guys?

This much money should involve at least a retractable roof to maximize public use of the stadium outside of the NFL schedule. I guess Buffalo can pack in the May-Sept schedule with concerts and other events at least.

The new stadium is overdue. The current stadium was built in 1973 and has received expensive band-aid upgrades over the years, but you can only refurbish so far before it no longer makes any sense.

Public taxes should not pay for the stadium. Period.
I recognize that you are a fan and not fiscally responsible like New York politicians should be.

Every stadium is paid for at least partially with public funds, other than the rare exceptions like the Rams and Patriots. Arlington paid $325M towards AT&T Stadium 15+ years ago.

I disagree. But if you want politicians to give away millions because you like the Bills, it is your belief but does not make it right.

Well, the choice likely comes down to help pay for the stadium or eventually lose the team to a move. What I personally want doesn't matter. However, in a state where more often than not tax hikes are for the benefit of NYC, I'm more than happy to make NYC help ante up for a stadium in Buffalo.

Social financing, private profits. Great business!
You think like a New Yorker. I'm sure you fit well in LA too!

Maybe these politicians could spend money on more important needs?
