sorry for the confusion. the stadium designs being discussed tend to resemble the old Dallas stadium.

Are you talking about Texas Stadium? That was the same thing. That was a dome, it just had a hole cut in the roof.

Why not build a stadium with 75,000 seats that will sellout before the concrete form is poured.
Buffalo and their fans deserve a dent venue. After all, Toronto is a couple of miles across the water and was putting together a Canadian gov't funded $2B 80,000 seat stadium proposal to lure the team across the border.

Money talks.

Perhaps they didn't get the "funding" for a larger stadium and jumped when they were approved to get all that money

would you settle for some heated seats?

They have radiant heat sections in the current stadium (my brother used to have season tickets in that area). Pretty sweet, went to a game with the temp in the 20s, had to take the jacket off because it was getting too warm lol. Still get that harsh cross wind occasionally to shake you up lol.

the Bills current stadium already has some of those. the "red seats" are club seats in the section between the upper/lower decks. All the seats are heated, and mostly covered by the upper deck. There's also the club area behind the seats with bar/food/tv etc.

Technically not heated seats. There is radiant heat from overhead heaters that keeps the section warm. The food is nice, bathrooms aren't overloaded, etc. My brother eventually cheaped out and got regular seats instead. Wonder if he's going to continue in 2026 when this new stadium opens, since he'll have to deal with PSLs.

Do you think Texas Stadium was an outdoor stadium?
yes I do....the entire playing field was exposed to the elements while the fans were covered unless the wind was blowing, then the first 10 rows of one end was exposed.

I also know September/October afternoon games were outdoors and Texas hot with little to no circulation.

It was a dome stadium with a sunroof on the top. Soft ass Dallas fans don't even know what an outdoor stadium is.

funny you continue to have nothing, zero, nada about the aspect of temp. control.

I'll spare you the details and say, I knew a girl a long time ago with a gold TransAm who took me around winter, summer with the T-tops off and AC/heater blasting and it was GREAT, along with many other things.

Thanks for that recall.
Good Times!

the Bills and the county/state have reached a formal agreement:
- new stadium, basically across the street from the current one
- Bills guaranteed to stay in Buffalo for the next 30 years
- minimum 60,000 seats
- could be ready as soon as 2026
- combination of public/private funding
- stadium design not finalized, but expected to be open-air, similar to Dallas where overhangs partially shield fans from the elements

Bills new stadium is now fishy.

New York taxpayers agree to subsidize Billionaire Terry Pegula $850 Million for the only NFL stadium in New York. and the stadium wont be in Buffalo.

The source said building a new Bills’ stadium in the city would have justified the state paying for infrastructure costs — but delivering $600 million in state taxpayer dollars plus another $250 million from the county for Bills’ owners to build its facility in the suburbs was a goal post too far.

“We would have never given that much. The deal doesn’t make any sense,”

Nothing fishy whatsoever. The new stadium will be across the street from the current one in Orchard Park. Downtown does not have an easy location for the amount of space necessary for an NFL stadium and necessary parking.
