SF is garbage team. So let's see what your defense does after next week.

Bears should have won today. 2 dropped TDs at the end there. Couple that with that fluke 85 yard TD on 3rd down to Hooper where Demps somehow magically never saw him in coverage.

Front 7 for Chicago is going to be nasty. Top 5 in that category. Their downfall is they have the worst WR group in the NFL.

Smarter yes, but a backup QB is tough to overcome over 16 games no matter how easy your schedule and division is. Next year be it Alex Smith or one of the top rookies, they are going to be a problem in the AFC. That defense looks pretty good.
They don't even need someone good to get them to the top of their division, just not someone soul-crushingly bad like Bortles.

We're talking about the AFC South.

The last two quarterbacks to win the division were Brian Hoyer and Brock Osweiler.

Yes, it can be won by Blake Bortles.

Nobody is calling Super Bowl. Just a return to being competitive is a nice start.

LOTS of top players and good teams had poor showings this week. This was the ugliest week 1 I can remember.
Fair, but the INT's and injuries are creeping up with Ben. I'd be concerned if I were a Steeler fan. It may not matter a whole ton until January, but it's there, imo.

He has been discussing retirement, it's not exactly a secret. The INTs are partially a result of his receivers not staying eligible (Martavis) and forcing the ball to Brown. He's always taken a lot of hits trying to extend plays, so injuries are always a possibility. I didn't watch this game (watched the Bills and Red Zone during breaks) but it seemed that Bell's usage was way down, possibly easing him in after the holdout?

Browns have to improve at some point; a decade's worth of high draft picks has to to result in at least a few good picks here and there.
