My thoughts exactly... I think Dio had the perfect heavy metal voice and I love me some Priest but Queensryche was always my favorite and that's because of Geoff Tate, with a little shoutout to DeGarmo's writing... IMO Rage for Order might be the most underrated album of all time...
Operation Mindcrime was epic.

Saw Queensryche about 8 years ago at some podunk venue in Idaho for like $25. Tate still nailed that screeching high note at the beginning of Take Hold of the Flame. Epic.

I've seen them 7 times, the first opening for KISS in 1984 at the old met center, mall of America is now on this site. The last time about 10 years ago at sunken gardens here in San Antonio, they played the entire mindcrime album. These days his voice is still good but those high notes are defiantly in the rear view mirror...

Dio hands down.....
my first thought was David Lee Roth.........But I`m guessing after reading a couple of posts, that they were not heavy enough. So I will stay with RJD.

And lmao for whoever picked Lemmy......that voice sucks as bad as Brian Johnson`s..........nothing good about them.

Not a Queensryche fan?

Ozzy is kind of annoying to be honest, he talks to much during songs... Love him but he needs to shut up and sing, you don't need to liven up the crowd every 20 seconds...

I like Queensryche, just not as much as Priest and Maiden.

Ozzy is the fucking man. He could talk about an appendectomy, and YOU WILL LISTEN AND LIKE IT! :heh:

I was going to move it earlier today, but I figured it was already at 3 pages, so it had some interest here. But I was pretty much on the fence, so now it is moved...

Looks like Dio got the nod on this thread. Met him once. Nice guy ,never realized how short he was until then.
