Selling. The more of a slugfest a division is, the more depth matters. USC has paper talent, but they're also going to be playing lots of pretty unestablished people on defense. Arizona has similar problems, but UCLA and ASU return a truckload. UCLA basically has the same starters sans Hundley and 2 guys on defense. ASU lost 6 total players from the entire depth chart. I'm a lot more confident they can absorb multiple injuries.

Also, UCLA has won the last 3 against USC and ASU has won 3 of the last 4, so even if they are full strength when the teams play, it's not like it'd be some major aberration that they beat USC.

I want to buy the hype. I'm not a USC fan, but I want some new blood in the title mix. USC is a historical power, they've been down a while now, and honestly, I'm tired of Oregon, I don't like Oregon's style of play.

But after the last few years, it's hard to buy into the hype. I'll have to keep selling until they prove me wrong.

This has been my attitude with Ohio State, and they proved me wrong this year. I ain't skeered of eating crow, I've done it a bunch before and I'll do it a lot in the future(God willing)

this. I want the blue bloods back. Other than Bama, the rest of them have been down for too long.

I love USC, but I'm selling. If you look at the last 10 to 15 years, no one has recruited better overall. Yet, they still lost more games that they shouldn't have than anyone. I'm even counting Texas. I'm selling until I see it on the field.

I want the blue bloods back, at least 3 of them, but I'm holding on to hope for the sake of holding on to hope I guess that UGA can some how, some way actually overachieve for once in the history of the program and make the final 4. I'm not even asking for a championship, I'd definitely take, but I just want a shot at the playoff and an SEC title.

Selling for this year, buying in 2016. Only a matter of time before USC is back among the elites. Their most recent recruiting class is a great start for the ascent.

Of course I'm buying the hype...Trojans were real close last year. Only see one speed bump in their way in the PAC south this coming year...ASU and their #2 at QB as an unknown.

Berco gets the start, backup QB will be Manny Wilkins (4 star redshirt freshman). The 3rd Gerhart brother will be 3rd string unless he's moved to defense, in which case Brady White (#2 national pocket passer) would be 3rd string. Other than inexperience of the depth chart, I don't have a lot of concerns about the position. There are several really talented guys.

Pete Carroll isn't coming back. Jury is still out on Sark. We'll see.......

You are right, Sark is known more as a beast recruiter rather than a NC contender.

USC is just like Texas. It's all about the coach. They can get all the top 5 classes they want, but doesn't mean anything if they don't have the right coach. Carroll was a master recruiter as well, but doubled up as one of the best CFB coaches in the country. For all we know, Sark might be a great one as well, but like I said, the jury is stil out. Until then, I'm selling the USC hype big time......
